I have a 1994 LC80 with 4.5 gasoline engine and the “bus” automatic. I have 1.2” pucks in the front with stock springs and no modifications in the rear (stock springs). I’m running Super Swamper Q78 (35.5”/10.50r16) tires. Love love love this vehicle! My wife has been on me to get rid of some of my 4x4s and once said, “what about that beat-up old thing?” My response, “OH LOWERED NOOOOO! THAT’S A LAND CRUISER 80! THE LAST BODY STYLE MADE WITH A SOLID FRONT AXLE!” I later heard her telling someone on the phone that “he’s been working on the one with a sacred axle or some other BS…” From then on I’ve referred to it as The Sacred 80.😎

I’ve recently been fixing leaks. This thing was leaving an oil spot everywhere it went. I got the 3 seals (harmonic/crank, distributor, and oil pump cover) but also had a bad power steering leak. I had a kinked power steering cooler and figured whenever I found a good deal on one I’d get it all done. Well, $100 for an oil cooler plus a hood strut he threw in and it was time to get greasy.

Ladies and gentlemen, please make welcome The Sacred 80:
