On Ebay. 1984 Toyota Land Cruiser | eBay His ad has the VIN for a 1998 ES300. Asked about it he said it wouldn't take his VIN due to it being too old (LOL)! SO HE JUST MAKES A VIN# UP?!!! Says he is original owner but as yet provided no proof (VIN, title, nothing) I realize this is a s*** seller but his 60 is very close to what I am looking for now.

Anyone within aa 4 hour drive have a nice 60 or 62 they are looking to sell? Looking for no rust. Other than that, I am open. Thanks y'all!

VINs started in 1981, all US spec vehicles this year and newer have them, it's federal law.

Yeah, he is a clown and has awful feedback score! Again, there is almost no chance I am a realistic buyer for this (barring forum member vouch).

Looking in and around Houston area for a 15-20K 60 62.

LOL.

From the Ad:

  • No rust.
  • The FJ60 has been fully restored/upkept, and no cost has been spared.

Rust free, except for the rusty areas. And I supposed the plastic mounts for the rocker trim are a sign of this "no cost spared" approach to a restoration

Not near you, but I’ve seen this one and it’s really nice in person. Torfab has done the service work and would likely be able to give you an idea on it.

Seller is a good guy, not on Mud though.

I have a 62 with an h55 coming to market in a 2-3 weeks, I posted some info on it 2 weeks ago. email if interested and I can get you info when it is ready

VINs started way before that. But I get what you were saying. 17-character VIN numbers.

My favorite part of the ad: "Rust free, except the rusty areas". Ha-!

No shortage of them out there. I'll bet the truck has a "wench" too.
