I have an after market soft top kit from germany and it cost about two thousand. It is very good quality and you can google search cabrio.de

I'm going to run my bj73 as a soft top, I want to cage it. My question is if I chop the B pillar off will this weaken the cab too much? has anybody done it or seen it?

the B pillar is just a bolt on in a 73/74 series.

I haven't got a top yet, but i will be getting it custom made at an auto trimmer. I will most likely just run a bikini style top.

I took the top off for the first time this summer, drove to van from seattle and back and it was great!!! pretty straight forward to get on and off. Its strange reversing and looking over the rear passenger seat, without the doors there the perception is like there's nothing rearward of the back seat.... random note i know, just something i noticed.

which is why running topless is the best for wheeling ... no visual obstructions.
