@jerryb how do my trims look? Running my 12-holes for the past 400+ miles

Did anyone ever get their 12 hole injectors tested by FIS? It would be interesting to see pictures of the spray pattern compared to stock.

When we had the DT headers dyno'd we just took up a donation from mud. I am interested in this mod as I have dt headers and 3 inch exhaust and this is by far the fastest 100 I have owned or been in. It is a 2004. I am thinking plastic intake and 8 new injectors for even more gains.

I had offered to have mine tested but lost interest and other projects came up. I'd be willing to have my injectors tested by FIS if I can cover at least 50% of the cost by donations. Their test costs $5 per injector so a total of $40 + tax. If anyone wants to donate please PM me. My injectors are rebuilt 250cc 12-hole genuine Denso injectors pulled from a 2008+ Toyota Solara V6, and the reseller claims they are flow matched.

So after the first half tank with the new injectors here’s my first update...do it! I’ve done my best to keep my driving habits the same but this is the most I have ever gotten on half a tank of fuel. Overall it seems to idle better and run smoother. I’m noticing it’s not downshifting on hills where as before it would having to find a gear to get into. I’ll update after the weekend with the final miles on this tank.

What mileage were you getting pre 12 hole injectors?

Mine was a freak built at the perfect time apparently. I was getting 320-330 miles on a tank

I took a bunch of data logs - still have them on my phone. Before I could do anything with them worked picked up and I haven't had time to do analysis. I should have a bunch of travel coming up and might have a bunch of hotel/airplane time with nothing better to do than crunch OBD data, haha.
Did you ever have a chance to sort through the data? I'm still willing to do a dyno session and I have found a couple other dyno shops where it may be a little cheaper. Our discussion stalled out about this time last year.

I've been running these injectors for 25,000 miles so far and loving how smooth it is.

I have not been able to dissect any of my data yet. I'm still game to sponsor some of the cost. I think we stalled last time because we need to cover the costs of some new/cleaned oem injectors. If someone in the Denver area with an 06-07 wants to buy new oem injectors or clean existing ones and is willing to donate them for some testing, I think we're all set.

Time is in small or zero supply for me lately so I can't offer up much more than $$ at this point. I can do data analysis, though!

Yeah I still have my stock injectors and keeping them in ATF as 2001LC recommends but I have no use for them after the test. It would be great if another local in Denver wanted to have their injectors serviced, or we could facilitate the cleaning of injectors at FIS and ship them back if someone out of state was going to get them cleaned anyway.

Also I will attach the procedure I wrote up for the dyno test if anyone has any suggestions for changes. If we can get a group of guys to donate $5, $10, or even $20 if would go a long way towards this project.

Just spoke with one of my buddies who is a tech at lexus and he adds that some folks have put the injectors from the 3mz motor and report good results. Just thought i would add to the conversation

Interesting thread. Unfortunate that nobody has been able to get a good before/after dyno test.. Might be a good upgrade since I passed 200k recently so the injectors should probably be changed anyway (or at least serviced).

No it's not unfortunate... It's exactly to be expected since it costs a lot of money and no one has volunteered to help out with costs. Can I put you down for $10?

Sounds more like it just didn't work out with the timing of it.

I'm down for $100.

Awesome! That is really generous, thank you. So far we have three people willing to contribute money:

RiverRatMatt - $100
suprarx7nut - undisclosed amount
J1000 (me) - $40

You said your injectors are probably ready to be replaced/serviced. We need a set of stock injectors with a recent service for the test, would you be willing to supply yours to FIS? Otherwise we could service another set and send them to you after the test. We'll likely need at least $400 for the dyno session plus the cost of injector servicing.

Count me (YotaMD, to be more accurate) in for $200 if you let me be the first to announce/broadcast the results on YotaMD's YouTube channel. I have a small personal interest in this, but turning it into a business expense opens up my wallet a bit more. :)
