I saw a photo here of an 80 with rr6-h wheels 17x8.5 but mentioned some modifications. I PMd the user but has not gotten back to me. I really like those wheels and wondering if anybody know what the issues are?

Sorry I just saw your PM. I have the RR6-H with -12. I did have to bore out the center a bit to make fit over the hub. Did it myself with a router and bit. I can’t say with confidence that the RR7 would be the same of different, especially since @LC4LIFE didn’t need to do any mods to the RR5 rim.

Pics for the MUD fam haha. Used a router and a bit that took me forever to find and buy. I don’t have it anymore but it cuts flush to a surface and worked perfect for this wheel. You may have to do your own measurements based on the rim. Mine is the RR6-H 17x8.5 -12. Happy with these rims. Wish they had the protection rings or beadlock rings when I bought them as I’ve rashed them up a bit from rocks on the thread points.

The router bit that is the last picture is called a pattern bit.
Should be able to find it on line pretty easy.
McMaster Carr. Com should have them.
The bit from HomeDepot is the same bit but you would be better off with a 1/2” shank bit.
The bit may need to be taller.
It’s also good to keep the bit lubed, spray silicone works well.
Definitely use eye protection
Yea man no doubt. We tried every trick in the book 100 different ways. The combination of these wheels and the Maxxis Razrs… trust me it was a ****ing nightmare.
Here’s mine after shaving the lip. I used a harbor freight router and just had it on low speed around 1.5-2k rpm and not too aggressive with shaving in order not to ruin the bit. I tried shaving the upper half of the lip first in order not to overwhelm the bit/router then finishing the other half flush.
How come my front wheels are sticking out more on the driver side and my rear wheels are sticking out more on the passenger side. Do I need adjustable pan hard to re align the body?
Damn.... You make decisions hard now. I was going to run the battle born bead locks but I have always been a fan of the relation race wheels as a whole.
