Saw one of these for sale today. Only got a glance at it but saw it had a for sale sign. Looks like it had been sitting for a while.
I can go back and take pics if there is any interest. I know it's a jeep. Still looks cool though.

This is not it but close to the model I saw.

Huh? What? Who said Jeep.:D Ahh my powers of moderation.:bounce:

Yeah those old wagons are pretty cool, there was one in High Point for sale a few weeks ago that was very clean, I never stopped to see what the wanted for it. There is also a pickup about an hour north of Greensboro that looks exactly like that, it looks to be in pretty good shape although its been sitting in the same place every time I've seen it. I thought about stopping and and seeing what he wants for it, Its really not something I would want but...... if the price was right.

hehe.......... before I got in landcruisers and I was searching around for a 4X4 those old wagons were tops on my lists.......... just couldn't find one close enough to home. Def. glad I end up with a 40 instead though

i'd be all over it if it was 4wd............. I don't see no pumpkin on that front axle :frown:

thanks for going out there marshall; it looks like a good deal for the price though.......... you've got all that extra room in the garage now :grinpimp:

That Willys has been there for YEARS, in fact I drove past it yesterday afternoon and thought it was a shame that it just sits there! (It came to mind before I scrolled down and saw the pictures) He used to have quite a few others in and around that shed.

Ah, the old third, a.k.a third member, pumpkin, diff, - I know what that is :) Now if I can just figure out what "locked" means. Seriously what does locked mean??? Sweet ride - I could be happy driving that.

Sometimes it better that they do not have the front axle.

1. They are not 4x4 so the frame is probaly not bent.
2. You would not use that little axle any way. Most all of them upgrade to at least a D44 set up out of the old IH Scouts.

Will, locked = has a locker locker replaces the spider gears and keeps the axle from slipping if you get a wheel off the ground. if you have a wheel off the ground and arent locked only the wheel in the air will spin which doesnt do you any good. So being locked allows both to spin.
