Hi, I am going to be home in Dixon for the summer (June 11th- Aug 12th). I was wondering if any local cruiser heads would be going on any trail runs. I would love to meet up with you guys. Nother hardcore for me though, I have a very stock rig.:)

Someone (probably somebody from last year's run) awhile back was talking about doing the Big Pine Sierra run again. Hopefully this will happen...the pics from last year looked incredible.

That sounds fun, I would be down.

That would be cool. Keep me posted.

That would be sweet. I would love to go along. any of those trails possible with a stock rig? if not then can I ride shotgun?:D

yeah, Carson is a great run and you could do it stock. camp on the river right next to the hot springs. it's all good. slick rock is good too. you'd have fun on them both. I'll keep you filled in.

yea we are planing to run 7th and J street in June

DANG !!! sam did you throw the 22 's with the spinners on the cruiser?
I think thats the only way your making that run , good luck

We did that run not too long ago. It's not the same as before. Things have changed. Some say for the better.

You could do the rubicon with a rear locker and aggressive 31s and some careful driving, especially now that the gatekeeper is blown up.

bump the aggressive 31s up to 33s and MAYBE you could drag the 40 through...you'd definitely need rear lockers...assuming you're trying to get through without body damage...

the trails gotten significantly tougher over the past couple years...

Without lockers and just 33s on my 80, the rubicon was totally exhausting, but doable. Just dont do it when there is a heep big run, a lot of people get pissed now if you dont get things right the first try. I was literally sore from driving. But its doable, and I only blew out a shock and dented the rear quarter panel and broke a turn signal lens. Count on being a lot slower and your spotter becomes the most important thing ever in your life. Without my buddy Taylor, I would have never made it up Cadillac hill. I would still be out there cooking bacon.

Hmmm, I dont think I will be running through the rubicon in my 40. I dont have a rear locker and the stock springs are pretty flat. I dont really want to beat the $hit out of the cruiser. Man I need a lift.

Not last weekend though. :frown:

I tried Barney Riley this past and hit a few snow patches. I didn't have chains and I hit a foot of snow at one patch and went no where real soon after that. We had to dig out and barely made it out. That's what I get for being stock and only vehicle .

Only made it half way thru the snow patch and just gave up after that. By now it's all melted though.

It was beautiful though because the whole trail on the way up the hill was run off and an inch or so of water. It was really nice out.

I'm only 30 minutes from there though so I would love to go with you guys.

right on. don't listen to those other biznatch flat landers. it is a great family giggle run. i like it cause i can kayak in to the springs from markleeville and let my wife drive in.

p.s. hey you guys know that you should put your rigs in 4WD at least once every couple of months to keep things working right. otherwise you'll wear out those pavement pounders:flipoff2:
