Wowsers - another great rattle can job!!!

What kind of gray is this specefically? Looks good - I want this kind of color in cans for the bottom half of my 62 (already this color factory).

I think its a rustoleum mettalic black from home depot... I will get a photo of the can when head over to Steves today...

what color is that gray? where did you get the cans at? i've been looking for that color. how many cans etc for the gray?

I believe we used 8 - 10 cans per coat for the entire rig...purchased at home depot. Or my son calls it the "deep Homo":D

Excited to see photo of can! Not as many cans as I was thinking!!

It seems wit follows in your footsteps :p!!

This is my friend rig. It is Safety Red and Black. Painted in Maine winter with no snow in a garage with K-1 salamander heater and lots of Budweiser.

Killed too many brain cells that week. Finished product, before the lift of course.

Anybody done one using a hammered paint like Hammerite? It's pretty tough stuff and I think that would look pretty cool but my paint's in too good a shape to try it yet.

I've thought about it. And I know a bunch of local wheelers that use it on their bumpers and sliders. Just have never seen an entire rig of it. Maybe, i'll have to experiment.

I'm gonna do my 60 some time soon

Heres mine....

rustloeum "navajo white"
I love touch ups after being on the trail or the trail being on it.

Did you find that the white is easier to work with? Mine is factory 045.

the last time i painted/shot a vehicle was about 17 years ago. i had help from a neighbor who was experienced in paint/body.

i still have the old devilbiss siphon gun but it is not the new HVLP system that is common today. I hated the old way since there way so much paint wasted and overspray, tempted to get a budget hvlp gun and but no longer have the mentor neighbor and fear i would screw it up royally.

both trucks are painted with latex exterior house paint that i sprayed on with a hvlp from harbor freight it takes about 2 years to fade out in florida sun the dually was done about a month before the picture the 60 was done 1.5 years ago and is getting my first real paint job in 14 years the past 10 trucks i have owned all got camo house paint jobs
