Hey Thanx Shotts! It just looks like that cuz i havent had a chance to do some sick wheeling like you do in your 100. The lady i bought it from is a lawyer so it never saw anything but concrete and ashphalt! LOL! Just started working on it so I'll update my rig soon.

Ahh, gotcha. We'll I'll be really happy when your rig looks worse than mine! :D

285/75 r 16 - load range E - This is not good.
305/70 r 16 - load range D
315/75 r 16 - load range D

I wanted 285s however I may go 305s based on the load range. Load Range E will knock your teeth out.

Hi All

I am a complete noob to Mud (but I have been lurking for a long time) and this is my first post.

I own a 105, live in Johannesburg South Africa and I have been running KM2's for just under a year now. After my previous BFG AT's that were very prone to chunking, I can only reiterate what a great tyre the KM2 is. Much better in the wet than I expected and grips like crazy on most surfaces.

If anyone would like to know what we get up to here at the Southern tip of Africa, do what RustyTLC did and join www.landcruiserclub.co.za ;)

Are you running any spacers with that, or other mods beyond your lift?

I have some 285 Procomps that I can't wait to get rid of. Have one that just bit the dust so it might be a good time to upgrade.

i doubt it they're skinny.

Those 255s are a 33.3, you wont need spacers to run those, a 295 fits without spacers.

Agree I wouldn't "need" them, but the stance looks wider than I would have thought with the skinny's. That's what I was checking on. If that's how it looks without spacers, I like it.

I'm looking at the BFG KM2 or the cooper stt's. Any experience from anyone that has run both? The KM2's are about $70/tire more than the Cooper STT.

Well, I upgraded tires today. Didn't need to, but I was looking for a change. I had planned on going with tundra wheels, but decided not to go that route and stuck with the OME 16's. I also stuck with 285/75/16's because I didn't want to re-gear and I have been happy with that size tire.

First impressions are that they are loud, but any MT is going to be loud. I had Toyo M/T's on my 80 and they did not seem quite as loud but my memory is short lived.. ha.. It will be something I need to adjust to. I got a fair deal on them so I couldn't pass up the buy. I will be heading to Moab in a few weeks so they will get a good test.

Just put on KM2 last wednesday and then went on 5 day Ozark off road trip. The KM2 handle great. They were my first MT tire and I think they are quiet for what they are. I was formerly running TOYO AT.

I have 285/75/16 and they handled great. I think they are relatively smooth on asphalt once you get about 10 mph. I only put the windows up after a long time driving on asphalt. They have good grip and look great.

Installed a set of 305/75/16s BFG MT KM2s. The tires ride well, handle well, have good on-road traction (even in wet), great off-road traction, and look awesome. The big size clears everything in the fenders and suspension on my LX-470 with no problems or modifications (even in low height setting). Just haven't gotten it into extreme articulation situations, but that's what my FJ40 is for...

What I can't stand is the amount of noise these things make at highway speeds. Even as well as the LX is insulated, you have to speak much louder and turn up the radio. My FJ40 with Goodyear MT-Rs doesn't make anywhere near as much noise...and that's a vehicle with either no top or zero insulation when the top is installed!!!

Going to return these for BFG A/Ts as this is my daily driver. If it's not your daily driver, or you don't go on the freeway every day, then this is probably a good choice tire. Will post pictures of both tires after the swap. Going to keep with the 305 size...
