I ordered some replacement bolts but could not find anyone that had the yellow zinc kind (only had silver colored kind). So I called a plating company to see if he could do it. He said he could but he recommended going with Cadmium plating. He said it would have the same yellow tint but would last a lot longer than zinc. Has anyone done this? If so, is the color the same as the yellow zinc?

I just had this done and posted some pics in Chat and yes my plater told me the same thing about Cad being more corrosion resistant than yellow zinc. Funny, I ordered the 4 transmission to bellhousing bolts from Toyota, 3 were white zinc and the fourth one was yellow zinc or Cad.

Thanks for the help! The parts in the pic look perfect - and as I always say, "Perfect is Acceptable".
