A year ago I had my axel seals replaced by a local off-road shop. At the time I didn't have the money for new birfs so I had him take a look and he said they looked good (one side had been clicking). I had him swap sides, but my clicking persists:( Now I have the money for new birfs and I plan to do the job myself. My question is... do I need to replace the axels seals? They are new and is seems a waste to pull and replace them. Thanks for your feedback.
Cheers, Scot

Inspect your axle shafts where it rides on the seal. If there are any imperfections, grooves etc, then best to replace the seal again as it doesn't take long for any imperfections to tear up a seal. They are simple and cheap to replace, so not a biggie.. If the axle looks good, then I wouldn't bother.

i'm not a fan of reusing gaskets/seals no matter the age or mileage. you are there and they are cheap and easy to replace.

I'm with Brian. The OE seals are cheap enough that it makes sense to just replace them.

Thanks for getting back to me everyone. After looking at some videos I do feel a little dumb for asking the question in the first place. I will replace the seals just for good measure.
Cheers,
Scot
