those are ATR's? America's Tire house brand. They are cheap, work great in rain/snow, and reasonably on the rocks. Quiet, too. I don't expect much out of the sidewalls... but the road hazard warranty makes up for that I guess.

even with the funny bends, it spins up fast, and never get's over 800F (pre turbo; 3" exhaust).

that perfect little adapter on the intake manifold... comes on a stock 1HDFT motor with EGR (it would have been the turbo-output to cross-over pipe connector... but they reused it at the intake).

Question: I thought the 1HD-FT had an intercooler stock? Your pipping looks custom so just wondering. I am somewhat depressed that you highlight the paint job (which is awesome) and act like the diesel is no biggy. :) Just kidding. Nice rig sir. :)
 
I thought dune beige was darker than that? Might be just the pictures though. Isnt Dune Beige a FJ40 stock color?

There is no much chance to find a FT down here .. ( not in the junkyards ) so I still need to figure this part .. but thanks . !
 
FJ60 isn't Dune Beige... it's just... Beige.

I haven't parked near Fah-Jay-Jay Cruiser to see if it's different. It has less yellow in it, I think.

who knows. Sherwin Williams had to custom mix it... and it might be off a shade.
 
Long time no see Brian. Very nice work, now you have a second cruiser for me to be jealous of. One day I might actually sneak up on you ninja-style and cut your legs off at the knees and make my getaway in your extracab 40. Love that thing. Good work on the 80.
 
I have diesel envy...

Barely got 11 mpg out of my last tank of petrol.

Need to get em side by side for a color comparison.

Looking forward to Rubicon next week!

Here is my attempt........ I am finishing putting it back together for Rubithon so Hanna Sliders and Bumper are not on until tomorrow but here is a pic as it sits now. Mine is 2008 Sandstorm from an FFFFFFgAAAAAYYY. Brian you are right it has a little more yellow than yours. A little darker than my friends 1985 P/U.

Close but the Cummins has less yellow and a tad darker. But with the hood up the look verry close.
