Paint booth to be

Not much accomplished today.. Got my winch plate finalized with holes etc...

Went shopping for supplies to start the assembly on my makeshift paint booth.

I painted the old cruiser in a buddies shop across town.. He's no longer there so.. I'm making my shop work this go around.

I have plenty of lighting in mine, if not I have 3-1000 watt light plants waiting to be used. Also, I have an upper filter fan for help with removing dust etc.. out of the air.

Gonna set up an air moving system.. fresh filtered air into the shop through box fans and exiting with a filtered box fan as well. Cover everything on the walls and shelves with thin painters plastic. The floor will get reinforced visqueen. (because I have a roll previously used from another project, it's free and strong.)

Here's some pics of the parts..

Will post up more pics when I get closer to laying down the primer and paint.

Still need more sanding of course.

Got the Flowmaster on this morning.. Cut the old cat and OEM muffler off.

Sounds great. I need to extend the pipe all the way out the back. I'll get to that later..

On to sanding, touching up the area by the windshield I scuffed while making repairs to the windshield pinch weld.. I'll sand this down and get painted today..

A+ work as usually! Great work brother man!

Nice trailer build teaser!!!

Smoking and

Decided not to go the powder coat route on my door handles and locks due to the coater wanting too much money IMO.. So, I figure I can paint a lot of door handles, locks, etc.. for $180.00. OUCH!

So I prepped, primed and painted them along with other items..

Had the day to myself with Charlie.. Body working and smoking pork shoulder (see the campfire cuisine section)... (Charlie is like a lot of you guys wanting to know when the cruiser is GONNA BE READY!) He hops up in it and gives me the look.... as my wife calls it...HA!

Got quite a bit done.. Pics to come.

Here's some to get started on the Sunday progress..

Very nice. Pork shoulder, beers, and bumpers... Sweet!!!

FYI, my powder guy charges like $5/piece for the door handles and such if you wanna send your stuff in a flat rate out here once they fade/chip... I would even pull mine and pile them all together to justify driving out to him...

Thanks Finny.. I may take you up on that.. The guy I use to use closed down and the other guy is price gouging now... I may send my spare set out to you if these start getting too bad.

My others held up nicely for over a year though.

Snow, Charlie is always ready to go.. He jumped in the sheriffs truck when they came to do the Vin# check for the out of state title transfer... :o...

Yeah I'll let everyone know when the trailer build starts. I got metal showing up this coming week. Need to order springs and axle etc...
It'll be a nice little camping trailer with a few bells and whistles.

Also, I posted this in the paint section but, just in case people aren't looking there.. I got my Monstaliner kit in for coating the lower body panels..

You're not coating the outside of your truck with bedliner where people can see it? Noooooooo! You think it is going to look good, but Nooooooooooo!

Just my opinion.

You're an animal. That work would take me two summers to do. Very nice work.
