Maybe I should switch them out than too, thanks.

So I asked them while i had them on the phone for a torque question on the ubolts and asked what would really happen if the anti inversion plate was on the inside rather than the outside.

Basically he said that if it wasn't on the outside it wouldn't work ie keep it from inverting...didn't really give me a clear answer on if you'd need to flip it.

Send me a PM if you'd like me to scan and email you a copy of the instructions so that you can decide whether you want to do it or not.

I sent my gauge cluster out to be restored, the temp was not working. Guy did a fantastic job, although it was pricy. Here are some before and after pics....

Finished restoring my brake booster here a couple of shots of the process...













I chemically stripped it down, sprayed a rust inhibitor and than a final coat of semi- gloss engine enamel.

Awesome job on the booster. What brand paint did you use? I like the look of the finish.

I used Rustoleum Engine Enamel, it sprays and lays down very well and has the best protection aganist heat and solvents but cost a little bit more. I trie the VHT but it was little more flat that I wanted. Thanks-

Could someone post a photo of their temp sender? I assume it's on top of the head on the drivers side where the PO put an aftermarket temp sender unit. Thanks! Here are a couple pics of my air pump I did a resto on this past weekend.

The color blue I painted the pump was very close to the orginal color on it before I stripped it off to repaint it.

I just finished refinishing my radiator support and was looking at the canvas strips that were sandwiched between the studs of the support and the frame. I was suprised at how good of condition they were still in, I'm still suprised how clean and complete this truck was when I got it, gotta be the California living it's whole life

Anyways I decided to replace them with rubber so I wouldn't have "sponges" that would hold water when they got wet. I found the perfect rubber at HomeDepot. It is rubber base molding used for industrial settings. I cut the rubber to size and drilled the appropriate hole and put them on. Perfect replacement with out the water retention. I'll do the same for my bib hinge. Pics....

Talked to my body guy and looks like all the welding is done, time to choose a color. Seems like the general consenses was to keep it mustard.

Sadly I think I will be selling this once completed to fund another Landcruiser project, so I guess mustard would be the best color for resale value?

SSCR- while everyone on here says Mustard for the color (including me, Well Im 60/40 mustard/beige ) youre doing an awesome job on the build and Im sure it will sell just fine should you choose to abandon it so readily Great build though!

Sorry I haven't posted lately, ran in some trouble with my body guy and had to take it elsewhere. Seems like a recurring topic here

Anyways, got some stuff back from the zinc platters and thought I would post some photos. Really can't work on it lately as my garage is finally getting dry walled.

Also got my seat brackets, jump seats, air cleaner, roll cage and a bunch of other stuff back from the powder coaters. Came out really nice!
