Am I dumb for contemplating $32k for an 06, no rust, great service, great condition, rare color… it’s wild out here for 80/100 series cruisers.

I bought an 06 just a few months back...
Leather perfect, low miles (currently sitting at 116k, after driving it cross country to get it home - TX), great history record at dealer.
It isn't a daily driver, I have a GS350 as my daily, and a 78 40. I question my purchase when I realize how little I drive the 100.
Then I go pull it out for a cruise, and I remember all over again why I wanted one of these.
If it is going to bring you happiness, what is the price of that?
In a world of wackiness... Enjoying the moment in my opinion is even more important then ever.
For me, cruising in my 100 does that for me.

What color? If blue, no "mods" and you can easily afford it then I say go ahead and indulge your foolishness.

the market is the market. If that’s the car you want and you can afford it… then it is just a choice.
I will caution however, that even on older vehicles with good maintenance history, you still have to be ready for age-related wear on rubber. Just because it has low miles does not mean you can think of it as a new car with 5-6 years worth of miles. I did this years ago, and was not ready for the other costsbreplacing old rubber and other things that just got old with age. Just a warning.

You’re 100% better off with your 06 than this one. Long story short I had a deal to buy this one out of ga right at a month ago. Paid ACC to go through it for me and tell me what I couldn’t see. Best $300 prepurchase inspection I could have bought. Told the dealer the issues, they sold it to another dealer who marked it up $7k over what I was going to purchase it for had everything checked out.
that's pretty funny. I immediately recognized this dealer name bc they seem to have come out of nowhere and now have the majority of the 100s in central TX but I got terrible vibes from them when i went to look at one - the frame looked like baklava (rusted) and they had clearly just painted over it and were charging a price that would suggest it never left TX. in fact, the other 3 100s they had on the lot were rusted like crazy too. i ended up peering into the window of the only nice condition vehicle they had on the lot (GX470) and the fking dealer remotely set off the alarm... now i just ignore any posting from YOTARANCH
For that money I’d want one that’s never been coated because it never needed to be coated
