Congrat's! Before I built my rig, I became used to the backup camera and when I had everything done, I really missed and HAD to relocate it.
Relocating is easy, the only thing you'll need to do is make a mount for wherever you want to put it, use heavy enough gauge wire. My first pass, the wire was too small AWG and my video was terrible. And then just fill the hole where the factory location was for the camera!
You can run the wire along the inside of your rear door easy enough. 👍

It's been a bit since I bought a house and have not been working on the truck. Well I finally got my garage and can work. Still accumulating tools and such since all I needed was a tool bag when I was apartment living. Anyway, here's what I did.

Picked up these speakers and wiring harness

Amazon product ASIN B08CPW4VFVAmazon product ASIN B08213PXTP
Did the polarity reversing thing with some heat shrink tubing so it's nice and clean.

Made a big improvement in the highs rounding out the overly bassy door speakers.

I made more progress wrapping the glossy parts of the interior, mostly the wood since it looks out of place with the black interior.

My door handles were cracked and it's a pain to replace the entire thing so I wrapped the plastic chrome to cover it up.

I also wanted to chrome delete the front of the car so I went at it with some plastidip. I pulled off the grille and fog light trim. and created a makeshift paint booth in my garage with some styrofoam from a TV I just bought:

After 6 light coats, I put it all back together:

Wow! At least from your photos, it looks like it all came out great!
I really need to do the headlight polish on my wife's 07' Taco.

Beautiful build so far! I’m looking into the Rigd swing. How do you like it? Does the spare TPMS work in this location?

Thanks!

I've had no issue with the TPMS.

The biggest drawback with the swing is the blocked reverse camera. I have yet to attempt to take apart the tailgate to get to it so I can relocate to the swing. Also, I didn't like the way that the plate looked in the center of the spare so I relocated it to the passenger side mount on the swing. I have the older version that didn't have the Ultralatch, so I may see if they'll sell me one to bolt in place of the old design latch.

Thanks for the update. I’m talking to them and dirtcom to decide between the two. Glad to know there’s no TPMS light!

Added these to carry my kayaks:

Had to trim the bolts on the folding kayak carrier since it would have dented the roof.

Ikuram makes a double kayak rack that I have been running on mine for the last year. Had to replace cheap chinese hardware and shorten the screw size and fits very well on the stock bars under full load without hitting the roof. I will admit though that the stock bars are pretty much at their limit with 2 kayaks on them. I wouldnt risk putting more weight on there.
