Big day today. Everything in these pictures hopefully are finished and in place permanently, I hope
Wipers installed and finished.

Still need to source a 12HT throttle cable, or a suitable alternate, and lhd fold down windshield wiper arms.

Went to NAPA and found a heater hose that I could use to make two hoses out of.

Might have a clearance issue with the steering column. I have about a 1/4” clearance with this bracket and water cooling line. I wonder how much the engine twists due to torque, both at start and while running. Any thoughts?

An update, I looked at the HJ61 sitting in my driveway and blipped the throttle a few times to see how much that engine rotated, and at start, and it hardly moved, so I am hoping that I will be alright as long as the engine mounts don't brake.

Aluminum cover for where the valve cover vent bolts to the bottom of the intake tube.

Hooked up the fuel return to the inlet line. Will have to wait and see that will work.

Ok, here is my plan for the throttle cable. I bought a universal cable from Lokar.

The ball of the Lokar is 6mm, the ball on the 12HT is 6.5mm. So after thinking about how to fix this I drilled the receiver to 6.5mm. Now it fits.

So now I got that end finished. Now for the through the firewall and attach to gas pedal. I ended up cutting apart the firewall end on my donor(rhd 2H) cable. I was able to pull the rubber part over everything. I had to cut the cable to get the firewall attachment parts off. Then trimmed the plastic piece to fit better. I had to cut half way through the plastic parts to slip the cable through. I also had to cut half way through the plastic lock collar for the attachment to the gas pedal. What you think? Does this look like it would work? I wanted a black cable but they didn’t have one in the length I wanted.

I did something similar with my cable. I shortened a OEM 1HZ cable and used the same end you used for the engine side. Drilled out also.

Since I had a new brake booster, Japan 4x4, and Brake Master Cylinder, Aisin-Cruiser Outfitters, I went ahead and replaced them.

Last box from Australia. 3” turbo down pipe. Will see if it fits since it’s for a -61 application.

Test fitted the new down pipe. Looks like I will need to cut about an in out to make more room for a angle pipe. Will see.

Got a 48” black cable, much better looking.

Nut plate that goes transmission side of hump where the one steering mount brace is bolted to the transmission jump. Instead of welding it on I used two cherry max rivets (aircraft approved )

Exhaust done. Waiting for a new turbo out gasket. That was exhausting
