venturis for sure, but since i replaced the manifold gasket they dont drop fuel when it not running anymore just dumping fuel when its running and has to have more air to keep it from dieng, ill hook upthe solenoid as it was on the to do list, the solenoid is the one higher up right with the female plug ? what is the lower one, with the male plug?

well thatd be easy and ive thought of that, i dont think trollhole would do it for 50 bucks... so ill have to suffer through it.

A tow truck is going to cost at least 50 bucks! If your just working on it then that's fine, but if your driving it like this then look out. Personally at this point I would quit screwing around and pull it and order the rebuild kit. Or Trollholl.:meh:

The lower one is a temp sensor. Don't worry about that one for now.

the soleniod did make it smooth out, did all the punch list you all came up with, didnt get a chance to check if it will die on me when its coasting/decelerating like yesterday but i drove fine in front of the house... idle seems good sounds like 750-800 rpm , venturies are only intermittently dripping, fuel is not coming out of the vents but it is a full sightglass so may have to take the needle and seat to a parts cleaner is it worth it mark? pin head? trollhole? anyone thats done that? instead of just carb cleaner and steel wool like i usually do... will keep you all posted as to the deceleration issue i had if its still there ill find out tommorrow. next project will be the cooling fan for the carb, will move onto that after this! but can drive it without that!

has a new gasket i rebuilt it a month ago, i tend to stay away from floats and needle valves being that they dont come with the kits and cuz past experience with other cars lots of put together take apart adjustment... well anyway i think i may have fixed it it drives well today no problems! the vacuum leaks and solenoid where my problems probably shouldnt have rebuilt the carb but it has been, if there is a problem probably the float sticking from sitting for 3 months but its driving so well im done wrenching on it for a while...

My best advice is send it to @FJ40Jim. Mine would not idle at all so I would run it at like 1000 rpm. Jim is the best and a total professional. Good luck.
