Airlift Air Bag Users Question??

Given that they drilled out/enlarged the top hole, there can't be any rubber stop left up there.

Weekend backpacking scout trip - five of us and five backpacks in the back. Left on trip with 29 in both bags. 29 on ds and 25 in ps after 3 days. Suppose that's acceptable.

Can the Air Lift Kit #60728 handled lifted springs?

Specifically OME 864's?

Thanks

Fawkers! - got underneath to inspect the work this weekend. According to the instructions the flange coming out of the airbag is 'supposed' to come thru the hole at the BOTTOM of the coil. These fawkers have it running thru the TOP! Not only that, but they've got the passenger side air line draped so that it comes within 2-3 inches of the damn exhaust pipe. Geez - I'm PISSED! Going to call Air Lift tech support first to discuss airbag alignment in the coil first to 'see if it really matters which end the bag valve is aligned to' then, depending on the results of that conversation - go ballistic at 4Wheel Performance Parts for a crappy installation. Tempted to stop payment on the credit card until I'm satisfied as well.

Again, for those that have done this install themselves - where did you align the valve from the bag - top or bottom?? Can't really see what's at the top of the coil, but what issues are there that could be causing problems?

Thanks for any quick insight.

I ran the line from the top have not had a issue for 2 years and many miles.

When I purchased mine I called Air Lift Tech support and had them find the same diameter spring as the stock landcruiser that was 2.0 inches longer. The Kit was for a american car not sure what. They gave me a part number to order. I am using the 863 springs not sure how much different the ID is.

Thanks CPG

Any chance you have that # handy?

Boston,

did you find out anything about the taller springs? I suppose, one could simply cut the internal bump stop to compensate for the taller springs.

That's what they did here

Let me know if you find out a diff p/n than 60728.

The 60728 is 5.38 x 8.5
You want the 60755 They are 10.5 tall Same diameter.
I ran the air line thru the existing hole on the top. Very easy and clean install.
If the bags ever go the part number is 60255 for the bags only.

It does not mater what direction you mount them as long as you can route the hose safely.

Excellent info, thanks for the info. I'm off to ordering them. Do you recall the price you paid and from where?

Thanks.

EDIT: order placed with Amazon $75 free shipping.
