I have heard great things about Slee, but I am in Arkansas, so that probably is not an option for me at this point. Just curious, did the remove all of the AHC components or just cap the lines off?

I don't know where you live but I drove from Las Vegas to Golden Colorado to have Slee Off-road do my OME with the Slee differential drop plus Slee rock slider steps. Could not be happier, plus Slee knows what they are doing so no problems. Funny what a difference 2"s can make![]()

If your problem really is intermittent that suggests that it is electrical. Maybe a bad ground somewhere or a bad selector switch?
In the off position the system would ignore the switch and most of the sensors. In the on position it would be trying to adjust...maybe something is shorted and pulling the damping actuators to max that gets cut out of the circuit when off. Could be one of the height sensors or the selector maybe is haywire.
I guess I would unplug, clean, and replug all of the sensors and switches. There aren't all that many.
Just a suggestion before you throw any $$ at you AHC with new parts look at replacing with a 2" OME lift. That is what I did love the outcome and no more AHC expense, plus you end up with a better looking tougher LX.
I think my thread has been hijacked!
It would be great to replace with an OME suspension however I don't feel it is necessary on a vehicle with only 90k miles.. I fail to believe the AHC system is this weak.
Another gem from the dealership service dept..When I had them pull the neutral pressures I asked that adjustment to the torsion bars be made if needed.. They told me "there is no procedure to adjust torsion bars"..
I'm going to trade this thing in soon.. four months I've had it and can't solve this AHC issue.. so annoyed
SWUtah, your car might be level, but it is also up-side-down.![]()
Alright, I ordered two cans of Toyo AHC fluid. I'm gonna see if flushing the system does any good before I start taking things apart...I'll follow up on here w/results.
OP, did you ever resolve the harsh ride. Ours is fine on large bumps/dips, but harsh on the small ones.
