The set I'm likely getting is for globes, pump assembly, and height accumulator from an 07 with just over 100k

If this one is a rust bucket I better not show what my 98 looks like. Rust is relative in my opinion...

Oh, no, your are right. This rig is a rust bucket, and things will break, and Mr T will not take responsibility.

Mr. T will happily diagnose this issue as a bad pump. They will happily charge parts and labor to replace the pump. The problem will not be fixed. Then they'll move on to the same process with the tube accumulator. The problem will be fixed.

The customer now has to pay for a new pump anyways which didn't fix the issue. That is the bull$hit of why the rig should not go to Mr. T.

This happens time and again eternal and is simply unacceptable to many, if not all, of us.

I'm going to call it, and no one here will like what I am going to say next. Take it in. Have Mr. T diagnosis it, and report back. The parts are the parts, but all I see here are tires spinning. We are on page 7, and not any closer. Pay the fee, and fix it.

Taking the car to a dealer for AHC diagnostics is normally a death sentence.

And this is essentially the longstanding downfall of AHC. Not necessarily the system having multiple failed components, but rather having one problem that the techs don't have time or expertise to pin down. Toyota/Lexus techs do not, as a generalization, know how (or care to) take a cost-conscious approach to AHC diagnostics and the manual is not written from the perspective of a customer that's spending money every time the decision tree lands on a $2k part/labor combo.

They'll do some quick troubleshooting, often without techstream, then offer up an extremely expensive guess of a fix with a part marked up 50-200%. Truck's not rising to H? Needs a new pump. Nevermind that nobody has touched the torsion bars in 18 years. New pump installed, same problem. Needs new dampers on all 4 corners. Etc, etc...

They'll also often include the statement that the system is overly complex and likely to completely fail at any moment and suggest the customer is better off converting it. Of course, part of this suggestion is to avoid them having to do any diagnostics on the house because after-all, it's unlikely the suggested parts will fix it. And they generally know that.

In the manual pump override sequence when you jump two pins, start truck, hit down 5+ times then up for 10 seconds you can force the pump to run but not in the active test section of ts. Even then I think it only runs for ten seconds. Getting the pump to run shouldn't be a problem. It will run if it is in l and the up button is hit. I can do this then open the height accumulator.

You can do this same test with techstream by the way, you open the utility screen to access it. I was just playing with it in my truck.

Couldn't find that thread but another thread said ahc fluid used to be yellow.

Per the Paddo method I used the truck is blead with the truck off with the vehicle in l... This was never a problem at the globes but maybe this was a problem at the height accumulator? I just read another thread that suggested that the height accumulator

The method I used was to bleed in l with truck off. Didn't seem to be an issue at the globes as there was always flow but maybe a problem at the height accumulator? Also found another thread that suggested unless the rig goes into h then back to n the height accumulator won't be charged. Maybe this is why on subsequent bleeds the height accumulator was dry?Bleed AHC accumulator, but no fluid

I have a pneumatic harbor freight suction brake bleeder that I could throw inn there to encourage things anyone think this is good/bad?

Can't hurt before resorting to forcing it with the pump.

After further review It may be better to avoid bleeding that accumulator at all as the fsm does not mention touching the accumulator bleeder at all in the bleeding section which is perplexing because both Paddo and @LndXrsr who's method i used to flush start at the accumulator. (but from the L height position) May be just "bleeding" per the fsm is different than the years of hands on experience assembled on the pages of mud. The manual states to bleed fronm N height and only the globes. It says if the system has been opened for parts replacement/suspected air in the system use the active test to bleed (which you can access in the utility section as stated earlier).

You will be risking possible injury and or losing your current N ride height which it seems the pump and globes are accomplishing without the assistance of the accumulator whatsoever.*Proceed with caution whatever u decide regarding the height accumulator*

Do you have the off button depressed? and off light illuminated on the dash

I opened the height accumulator and immediately got good flow. Only took 6 oz didn't want to push it. Did not hit the up button since I had good flow. Then I got in the truck and hit up to see if it would go to h. It failed after flashing for awhile and is back in n. This is what I have now.

After I blead I got the flashing off light and a code which I cleared. Off is no longer illuminated
