Aftermarket switch panels

Hi everyone

A while back I made a nice basic switch panel, that I mounted between my dash and console in my 92... (older style dash).

I'm now looking at putting my aftermarket gauges there, (unless someone has info on a 3-pod pillar mount that still allows you to keep your grab handle???) and need to re-locate the panel, or the switches, somewhere else.

Does anyone have any great ideas (and pics!) for locations? The switches I have are small round and have a small green led that lights when activated. I have about 6 or 7 that I need. I was considering in a vertical line directly in the top of the console, just to the right of the far left edge.

Overhead console is an option. I used CAD to design a plate to fit there and had it water jetted, but have never got around to actually installing it.

You could always mount the switches in the front console next to the transfer shifter.

I've got an idea to make a trim panel that fills the gap between the shifter console and the lower dash, where you have your switches mounted currently, but fill the whole gap so there's room for my future gauges and some switches, maybe even an additional power point. That's as far as I got, lol.

But you'd lose the (only) little stupid square cup holder right? I use that daily, as pathetic of a cup holder it is

Why not put them in this section? You could probably fit three rows of three switchs there, then mount you guages where the switchs sit currently

This is the piece itself. Plan was to use adhesive to put it in place of the altimeter/compass. Maybe I'll get to it this winter.

The idea in my head was to have it sit in front of the cupholder, so the cupholder would still be useable. Angled similar to your current switch panel, just extend it down to the shifter console kind of thing.

As for cupholders, I got one of the Bhicks 3D printed jobbers that mounts to the back of the center console, FAR better than the OEM ones.

That's exactly my plan (unless I see another option I like more). I'd probably do 1 row only though, against the far left of where you've circled. The switches I have are quite small.
