Hey all,

I've looked through several aftermarket alarm installation threads, but couldn't find what I needed. I have a really simple question. My alarm is already installed (has been for years) but the installer didn't connect the optional wire to turn on interior dome lights when the unlock button is pressed.

I know these trucks have ground switched dome lights, and the alarm output wire would be 12v+, so I have to connect a relay so when it's triggered it grounds out the factory dome light gnd wire.

WHICH wire (and where is it) would be the easiest and best to use for this? Somewhere in the front kick panel, I'm assuming?

thx
Andrew

You should be able to use the same wire as the door trigger. Which is found in the driver kick panel. You are sending it a ground signal to turn the light on.
