Amazing rig... I love that you wheel it. I also love Observed Trials too. I used to ride about 10 years ago; a huge amount of fun and great people. I found it challenging and rewarding without the need to clear a 60' double to be "competitive" in the novice class of moto-x.

Took a trip out to the Verde River for the day. Found a nice spot near Sheeps Crossing.

Ordered a bunch of stuff this morning for the wagon. I hope to get alot done this weekend for an upcoming trip. Should be an adventure. More details soon.

Bought some Lizard Skin heat and sound barrier coatings. Got the sound deadening coats down yesterday. Sprays pretty nice and uses water for clean up. Today will be the heat barrier spray. Trans tunnel looks spotty cause it's still wet.

Jack,

I used their products on my 55. I can't speak about the Ceramic's ability to cut the heat, yet, but the Sound deadener works great. Good choice!

Now the heat barrier is down. It's got more texture than I would have liked though. More of a dull finish too. Plan is to cover most of it with snap in carpet mats.

Nicely done... Love your LV!

Thanks for the props. Time will tell if this stuff works well. It was nice to spray cause it had no fumes and water clean up. Still have alot to do before this weekends trip.

Took the longest trip for the LV yet. Here's some pix. I will post up the back story and report on my upgrades later.

These pix are from hiking up the old Route 60 (north of Superior) and the Claypool Tunnel which was built in 1922. The new hiway and tunnel is above.

We wheeled into the night and eventually made camp, had a fire, drank some beers and woke up here.

Upon waking up, we discovered 2 problems. My friends dog had sneaked out of the tent and got himself bit by a javalina. We never heard anything crazy and the dog got back in the tent and never made a sound. He had a couple good puncture wounds and had bled alot for a smallish dog. Plan was to head to town and find a vet.
The other problem is the frame on another friends truck had broke clean through between the steering box and panhard bar mount. We ratcthet straped it back together and headed to town to find a welder.
We had about 50 miles of dirt road to go, then some hiway before reaching Thatcher and Safford. At least it was pretty scenic. We rolled in Thatcher and found a vet to patch up the dog. Although they wanted to keep him overnight. We also found Toms Service Center and they we able to weld up the Tacomas frame. Cool shop run by 3 brothers. Had some cool cars and trucks to check out too.
At this point, we decided to call it and cancel the last leg of the trip. My buddy and his wife got a hotel room and stayed to wait for their dog. My other friend and I headed home (about 4 hours from my house). About 2 miles outside of Globe, I ran out of gas. Luckily I had some extra gas cans stashed in the Tacoma. I filled it back up and continued on. Eventually, everybody made it home.

Awesome pics! I think you could start a business as a tour guide of the south west!
