I just have the ones he sent me to my phone. They look good but are not recent photos.

If he was chasing big dollars then it deserves some recent pics. Don't fall for the spin, proceed carefully.
Its all about the body and chassis. When someone says its an 85 with no rust it kind of sets of warning bells.

My 1985 was rust free but lived most of it's life in central Australia. It's now on the coastline getting eaten away. There out there but getting harder and harder to find.

My Troopy was a privately owned vehicle that spent most of its time in a iron ore mining town in the Pilbara. Very low rust. I should pull the windscreen out and fix it properly

Big difference between no rust and no visible rust. P owners do strange things to hide rust. 1985 CDN no rust? Doubters. Check area around fuel filler pipe/ inside frame front of rear wheels/top of front fender wells. What about w shield frame and rear doors? Look at area behind mud flaps and behind rockers. No rust at all? The one pictured didn't look too rusty until the usual areas were checked out. Bought it anyway and will fix as needed when needed.

That looks about standard on the rust in the back end. Loved your thread on how you freshened it up for the kid's trip to work camp. Keep up the good work.
