Let me know when you want to swap the steering wheel to the other side . I think I have all the bits you'd need (with the exception of the curvy brown dash) I'm pretty sure a square one would fit though . That and a set of round headlights and you're good to go .

Yeah, it's going to be on the menu at some point. Just not sure if I want to do it before winter, or next spring. I have a few parts as well, but nothing for the dash either.

You're s.o.l. dude.

I threw it up on used vic with what I thought was a silly price.

I had flat brimmed wigga homey douchebags climbing all over each other to buy it...

Sure glad I got that for the 42, gonna look sweet:poof::poof::worms:

Were you heading towards lake Cowichan on Hwy 18 this morning? Saw a HJ61 that I thought had the same coloring as yours. Didn't get a very good look, and wasn't able to wave at the moment... Too busy watching water temp (jk, haha; focused on driving is all).

I saw that too, I must have been pretty close to where you were. You Camping this weekend?

Ha, yeah I figgered that was you. You were staring so intently at your dash I didn't think you'd seen me. I think I said to mel something about the driver looking terrified his engine was going to blow up...

You have a boat on your roof?

We just went out for a drive to see how lumpy the old thing was on a logging road. Going to bamfield next weekend....Mel is concerned about her cupcakes bouncing too much. ( really...I mean actual cupcakes....)

Yup, just at Gordon Bay with my family. Got out wheeling a couple times though and found a way around a gate in that area (into Millar Creek Main) with some nice trails and a mountain top view of the lake. Also headed out to Nitnat River area (by Nitnat Falls) and had some fun by the river. Need to camp up there for a couple weeks and wheel every day. Love that area around Nitnat.

Haha, yeah, it's actually the steering that is more the issue. Think I just need an alignment, but havent got around to it yet. Basically it all feels tight, but take eyes of the road for more than a second and it's wandering out of the lane. Needs more toe in I think. That and just trying to focus with young kids in the car and keeping on top of everything while towing.

So how did the cruiser do on the logging roads? And the cupcakes? Haha.

A little extra toe never hurts.

Cruiser on logging roads...like you'd expect. At the end of the day, it's still just a 60, so the same suspension technology as a 1700's buckboard wagon, with some rattles and bangs thrown in.

No cupcakes on this trip...it's up in the air whether they'd survive ...

Actually, while on the subject, while doing a google map route to bamfield, the googler suggests we go via lake cowichan... https://maps.google.ca/maps?saddr=Chemainus, BC&daddr=Bamfield, BC&hl=en&sll=48.436163,-123.388068&sspn=0.102614,0.169258&geocode=FXWd6gIdL_af-Ck77PfVw1KPVDFtKBR1xmxXaQ;FVYj6QIdsHmK-ClzXdyNHD6JVDFSM7JQ9ZalVw&oq=bamfield &t=h&mra=ls&z=9

ever been that way? I'm curious about this "Flora Main" and whether it turns into a torturous goat path halfway down. Other option is just to take the carmanah main straight up to where it meets the bamfield main. Been that way before...

That's an interesting route, I've only taken the usual way. Although I do wanna check out flora lake area, apparently there's a b24 wreck site up there

Never been that way, so I can't comment on that route. Worst case you have to back track a ways; not the end of the world as long as you have a bit of extra time.

Yeah, playing with map points on that thing, looks like going all the way up to Darlington Lake (ish) to catch the bamfield main adds about 10 minutes. Think we'll probably go that way, other route gets pretty freakin windy looking ...

The drive times are probably totally haywire, I'll be lucky if I average 50kmh on those roads.

Years ago we were going up to Bamfield for some camping and fishing and one of the guys traveling with us suggested we go Flora main because it was quicker. I was the one pulling the boat and my trailer axle soon became a road grader. If that road has been improved it might be a shorter distance but i don't know about quicker.

Pretty sure the google thing just goes off distance, so I guess it's shorter that way, but yeah. Think I'll stick to main roads, bamfield is far enough without having to backtrack because of a s*** road.

Since you have no use for a 3B turbo anymore, interested in selling that turbo?

Perhaps a........
