We will probably have a seat but won't be doing anything crazy since I have to drive it home.

Got the winch in last weekend, WARN fairlead going in this weekend and I am picking up my new Spartan locker for the rear from the Randy's Ring and pinion warehouse this afternoon. Will probably try to do that this weekend if time allows.

Then a tune-up and fluid change and should be ready to go.

Sweet. I'm doing everything I can to try to sort this p/s problem out. I borrowed a bad box from the ACC guys so hopefully it's not as bad as the one I have.

Have a line on an LED light bar...will be going in before the invitational!

I can give you a seat as well if you need it, the wife will be along but I suspect she will want to drive while I spot her as she is rapidly becoming addicted to offroading :)

If the price is right, and by right I mean cheap, do they have 2? JK, but I am interested to see one in person to see how they perform. Might have to add that to the list....

I bought a ton of spares from my brother (he sold his FJ).

BMTHiker, I have a tie rod and a few other FJ things for you if you want them (brand new) to make up for the CV I borrowed.

I think I have both tie rods, boots, some CV boot kits, and a steering rack component for an FJ.

Let me know.

If I can't get mine fixed I'll probably take you up on that. I did retrieve a loaner box from ACC Saturday so hopefully that will be enough of a Bandaid to get me through the weekend.

It looks like my rider won't be able to leave on Thursday so there is a seat available my 80 also that your welcome to Sam.

We're working on it. A couple of the techs are helping me out so hopefully we'll get it sorted. No offense to anybody but I don't want to just be a passenger if I can help it! I wanna drive!

The link to the park says it opens gates at 6pm on Friday. Some of you said you are heading there on Thursday evening. Can I assume that since there is a reservation that we can get in earlier than 6pm on Friday? Just trying to plan my trip.

Should I bring some firewood? Any other suggestion of things to bring to contribute to the gathering?

More than likely the left gate will be open, just pull in and follow the road up to the pavilion. I have never been there when not with this group so I am guessing that is their regular schedule. The ACC group will be there and you can most likely show up anytime Friday and get in.

Every time I have ever gone the gate was open so you should be good there. Most likely someone from our group will be there anyway. And I believe they said last time NOT to bring your own firewood. There is a trail that you can harvest from not far from camp.

Edit: If you (or anyone else for that matter) wants to bring any additional stuff for Friday night that would be good. Any other snack type foods or toppings maybe? There is also a Wally World about 5-10 mins away if we need to get more stuff.

Now that you brought that up, is it Friday night that we bring sides and we are on our own the rest of the weekend as far as food goes? I know it is somewhere in this thread but on my phone we are on page 57 (not really) and I don't feel like digging for it right now. Shrug, at least I'm honest.

Winch is all buttoned up, Spartan is in the floor waiting for me to pull the chunk. Tent, bags, pads, check, check, check.

Looking forward to a nice fall weekend.

Saturday is the potluck. Friday Lowe Toyota is cooking burgers and dogs.

Thanks Sam.

Even if the gate looks closed (on the left/exit side of the drive) get out and check it by hand. Sometimes they just push it closed to discourage wanderers.

Looks like we won't get there until late-late Friday night. Got an event we have to attend that night, so we may be a little overdressed when we arrive.

Speaking of going early, who all is going up Thursday?

It is a good possibility that I will come down on Thursday. If I do I should be there mid afternoon.

Since I am not much of a cook. Would it be ok if I brought plates, forks, spoons, cups, paper towels and trash bags for the weekend. Just trying to think of a good contribution for the group.

Sorry y'all I got bad new. I don't think I will be able to make it to this one, because I have an Order of the Arrow ordeal the same weekend, and I missed the first one to go to GSMTR. If you need clarification the Order of the Arrow is the national honor society for Boy Scouts, and the ordeal is the event in which you get inducted into the society after being elected to join by your peers. However, there is the slightest chance that I will still be able to make it. If not I hope y'all have an excellent time and I will definitely be in attendance for GSMTR 2013 for the whole week. Also, I will have the entire month of December off from school, and Fahed, Patrick, and I are planning a wheeling trip in search of snow, and once the plans are made, we would love to have others come along.

Looks like Reanna and I will be driving up Friday night and hitting a hotel then setting up camp first thing on Saturday and doing trails.

Add an adult (women's M) T-shirt to our goodie bag :p
