I wheeled an 80 for years and several there...happy to spot ya. I am having my wife drive most of the time.

Well I am now deep into what should have been a relatively easy project. I got my Spartan installed in the rear BUT while at it I discovered that my pinion felt loose, drop carrier and find ZERO pinion bearing preload:bang: so now tomorrow will be several calls to get seals, gaskets, etc and a solid spacer headed my way which means that most likely the rear won't go back together until first of next week:eek:

I hope I can get everything in time to put it all back together. I guess I will get some of the misc. tune-up stuff done while I am waiting. To bad LOWE doesn't carry solid spacers for the 9.5" or I could get it all in one box. :hmm: Sam can you work on that...:grinpimp:

Sorry to hear that jinx, I have been reading your progress so far and I hope everything comes together for you sooner rather than later.

They actually do show a solid spacer but only for the semi-float.

Those Toyota guys never listen to me anyway. I've been telling them to make a diesel Tundra for about 6 years.

Edit: You are cutting it very close but I have faith in you.

I'll see you all Saturday am

Business trip Friday holds me back from showing up then.

Hey just a reminder if you need parts delivered to the event. We need to have those orders in by Monday so I can make sure (barring any extended back-orders) that I can get your parts in time. THANKS!

New steering box is installed and ready to go. I also installed a set of rock lights because there will be a night run of Trail #3.

Anyone interested in hitting some other trails at night, while the big boys play on 3? Was thinking 2, 5, 7, 8, 16......any other suggestions?

Dang. That means I gotta buy some headlights. I can't see squat right now. I'm down to hit a couple.

This light bar is crazy bright! Love it! Depending on the wife I am in.

Hey Dan. What's your travel schedule like next week? They are talking about a lot of cancelled flights and closing subways and stuff in NY.

I got completely cancelled...home all week :)

Hi5! That's awesome! My brother lives in Park Slope in Brooklyn. He said they're closing the subway at 7pm and they had to stand in line to buy groceries for like an hour. (They weren't panic buying, the grocery delivery service they use isn't running because of the impending doom.)

My brother is in Princeton, NJ and can't figure out why they haven't cancelled classes yet tomorrow... he says he's sure they will... just haven't yet as of a few hours ago...

Yeah my brother is in med school at nyu and he is doing rotations right now. He usually doesn't go to class at the school. He did say they pushed a test back that was supposed to be tomorrow. If your brother does have to go, I don't know how he's going to get there. No subway or buses are going to be running.

Sliders are on as of tonight. All that is left is packing all of my gear. :bounce:
