Abnormal air pressure in gas tank

I can confirm zero pressure once I replaced the canister. Prior to that, lots of whoosh.

Here in Oregon we are too lazy and lack the skills to pump our own gas. Before replacing the canister I felt bad for the guy pumping gas since I usually forgot to tell him and there also also usually a lot of dust under the gas cap. This resulted in a puff of gas fumes and a face full of dust. I gave a tip to apologize.

Thanks to all for the feedback and info. Got the VC120 in the mail today via amazon. Took me about an hour to replace it. Checked the old one and it was 100% clogged. Hooked up the hoses and it started right up. It took half the time to start compared to the four revolutions it took to start previously. Drove home from work, opened the gas cap and there was t any air escaping at all. Thanks!!!

Quick thread hijack.. sorry!

Can anyone advise if this excessive build up could also correlate to a P0171 code?
I thought I had read up about that in the past but can't seem to find it now.My truck seems to throw the code when I have 3/4 tank or less.
