For not making (too much) fun of me last night when my rig started making funny noises, especially when we all knew the probable cause:o. Kevin, Ben, Rob, Michael and Chris - thanks for your support and assistance hanging with me for the 50 mph drive from Tuscon. Kevin - thanks for telling me I needed a bigger hammer:wrench:. Ben - I'll adjust my headlights:whoops:. Michael - I appreciate you playing decoy for the DPS:steer:. Rob - you played tailgun wonderfully all day and I appreciate that you did not push me home faster last night, or run me over;). Chris thanks for getting TWO flats so that I wasn't the only Phoenix trail carnage:doh:. The FJ does have a 60K mile drivetrain warranty, so I've got my fingers crossed - otherwise, time to re-gear:idea:

I would never leave any of this group behind....always great support when I have needed it.....:)

MY RETINAS! Oh wait, that was Alvin's fault. :D

I have found that sheepish whining goes a long way.......:hillbilly:

no idea how well it works on Toyota Dealers - except for CDan, the parts departments I tried were doofuses (sp.?)

I will say that in all the times I've pulled out my tools etc., this is the first time it was for my truck:eek:

Was he slappin' a monkey around? I can understand wanting to avert your eyes, and the images that would burn onto your retinas if you weren't quick enough.:grinpimp:

Thats striking a monkey.

On this trail there a a bunch of hill climbs with the sun directly in your face and you can't see s***. It's become tradition for Spike to give me a lot of crap about it.

Just got a call from Power Toyota:wrench:, I busted the diff as suspected:crybaby:. It will be repaired under warranty:clap::D. No re-gear:meh:, but no cost either.

Have them save some chunks of teeth or the pinion for you as souvenirs!

great news Carl :D

That's great news- rather do it now under warrantee than later. What broke, the ring gear, or do they even tell you?

Never leave a man behind. Its bad karma and will bite you some day.:bounce::bounce2:
As for not pushing you, I was asleep and couldn't go any faster:eek::steer:
Glad they're fixing it for you Carl:cheers:

Carl; good to hear Mr. T. is looking after you. Mine was replaced after CM08 and Toyota insisted on keeping the entire 3rd member. Hence no souvenirs. But the price was right! Best of luck.

I asked 'em to hold the broken assembly for inspection out of curiosity. If they do, I'll snap a photo...
