Hi,
I wanted to give my LC a good name has anybody got any good ideas?
its a 1989 lj 70 its a 2.4 and its white im going to use it offroad.

thanks in advance.

Hi, my grandMa named ours to "The white swan"
When we go on expedition, the radio nick name is "The white bug"

Out TLC is the same, no mods, except Tabor 9K + Malatesta Kobra Tyres and Delphi Shocks !

i usually wait for a run and if someone names it then i go with it:
FJ40 = mountain goat (would climb in the mountains where man couldn't walk)
BJ74 = ol smokey (had a real bad smoking problem)
PZJ70 = the Tractor (it was amazing with the 36" tractor tires pulling out trucks with much bigger tread)
FJ55 = Rhino (point and go)
FJ40 = Crushers (which has blossomed into a fleet of Cruisers by that name)
PZJ78 = Bastard Child (due to the mixing of the original Tractor drivetrain and a LJ78 body)
BJ70 ragtop = Pretty One (21,000 original km in all original shape)
PZJ70 ragtop = the Tractor (2) (replacement for the original Tractor)

let someone that sees the truck in action give it a name...
<of course we could call it "the Time Bomb" but that wouldn't be nice.>
Polar Bear?
Invisible?
Como?
Snow Flake?
Blizzard?
White Out?
Slippery?

Hi Crushers, I assume you reserved the most endearing name for the LJ78? Such as ''greatestever'', ''bestbuy'', ''luckyfind'' etc.

sadly none of my LJ78 trucks recieved names...

i could have called the PZJ78 "Good Score"... since i bought it for $3K.

I coined the term bastard child, one of my better name creations for waynes truck.

There you go again seeing the glass half empty:)/:crybaby:

I am not sure if "tick-tock" will fit on a standard license plate...
perhaps a bumper sticker. I am glad I am not a sensitive person, this forum could really hurt my feelings.

"now now, go put your big girl panties on ... "
...If that import thing does not work out you can use your people skills as a therapist or perhaps a motivational speaker.:):):) I already feel better and make take my LJ78 for a spin now. ..............1978HJ45

tact ... what is that again?

go give your LJ a big hug, stroke her hood and call her sweet names, before she pukes all over your driveway...

<said in jest, to raise a spirit of good natured bantering, not to be taken seriously>

"before she pukes all over your driveway"........man thats harsh!!!!!
The plight of the poor Prado owner....nobody understands us.

Don't worry I still got your back;);) They don't know what they can't understand :D

hummm, there is understanding and then there is UNDERSTANDING.
i 'understand' the attraction but i also 'UNDERSTAND' the pain.

of course it could be called the "White Ostrich", a big white bird with its head in the sand. "if i can't see the problem then it can't affect me". Looney Toons of the 80s.

Owning a LJ78 is like being the fat girl at the school dance. People are polite when face to face but giggle and point when you are not looking. I have convinced myself that this situation builds character. My hope is to pull in your driveway when the odometer rolls over 350,000 kms and pay you a visit. ............1978HJ45;p
