Hello all !

I have a 1990 LJ73 and am still looking at options to camp / autonomously travel and stay in the car for a few days.

I have considered the options of a roof top tent (complicated due to FRP TOP) and staying in the car (a bit cramped).

Now I have discovered that there are some options of annex tents attached to the back of the car. Most of them are designed for standard SUV trunks (trunk door opening to the top) but not for double ports like we have.

Anyone came accross with one that would suit a double port 70 series?

Anyone tried them before?

Thanks !

P.S.: attaching a photo of "chestnut" to have a bit of visual appealing.

I am building a "lean-to" arrangement to be set-up behind my Troopy when camping in one spot for more than a couple of nights. It'll be stand-alone and not attached to the truck so I can drive away and leave it set up. I'll use 3/4" EMT conduit and the brackets shown below. It'll be open on the high/truck side (with a slide or roll up something to close it when I drive away. I'm not planning on it having a floor but it could. I don't have a pop top so for me it'll be to give me more private/"interior" space for gettig out to get dressed, use a camp toilet etc etc. The sides MAY have options for windows eventually but v1 will just be tarp.
