I always marvel at the creativity of folks and how they can bring an idea in computer form to life. Stellar work and good to hear you are feeling better.
Good input! There are actually gussets.you just can't see em in that pic. I put them inboard on the uprights where it mounts to the swing arm. I left the outside open for space for jack mounts and such.Awesome work. Hope your over whatever you had. Just a thought on your tire support. You might want to add some gussets at the base to brace it sideways. I'm in the process of modding a 1st gen Slee, and it had cracked at the base of one of the hoops.
Thanks for nice words! I actually design more freehand with cardboard First. I find it easier and actually faster to come up with a design I'm happy with. It allows me to see how it really looks on the vehicle. You can't get that same sense of portions looking at a computer screen. Once I get the design set it then goes to the computer .
Thanks again
Rich
Hay Rich that look really good. Happy that you're feeling better. I'm on a new show in Hawaii so all work has stop on the cruiser. But before l left I got nothing but compliments on your front bumper were ever I took it. Nice work thanks.

The pivot uses 2 standard off the shelf roller bearings with stainless steel sleeves and have press in or tap in seals at both ends. I'm very happy with the rigidity and strength. With the arm open and me bouncing on it you can actually flex the frame rail. The bumper and arm move together as one. So it's quite strong. And opens nicely. Closed the piston is over Center to keep it shut until you give a little tug. And the piston is sized just enough I feel to not pull you with ithe but keep the arm extended. I went through 4 different pressures before deciding.
