I am having issues with the stock line (leaks) it has been welded several time by local AC shop w/ no positive outcome.
I have been looking for a new line for quit some time w/ no luck.

Is it possible to get a line from a late model Toyota to replace the line?

I need to get a line that is longer as I have added a trans cooler and x-tra fan.

Thanks

I think I may have one if you'd like to try it out, just pay for the ride and it's yours assuming i still have it

I belive you could have a hose made pretty easy. With the various special fittings that are made for A/C you most likely could get something to work. I planned to do the same thing to potentially allow enough room for a small fan to be mounted on the passenger side (front) of the radiator.

Here's an option. We braze a hose barb onto each end of the metal line, then crimp the desired length of hose in the middle. Obviously, the OD of the rubber hose is greater than the metal line, so it it fits in a tight area, that could be a problem. If this looks like a potential solution, a good A/C repair shop should be able to do this.
Good Luck!

Just get a new line made at your local hose shop.

I went to two local shops and they could not help so I gave up on that. I went to local pull apart and found a Toyota that was an 88 and looked at it's lines and they have the same 14mmx1.5 as does the FJ62. The line is also longer so I can go under the radiator like the power steering lines are.

new old a-c line fitment

this is the line I got, I am just at the point of fitting it as I still have to install harmonic balancer and radiator, about done w/ replacing all my leaking seals and gaskets.

minus power steering. I have to wait till I find rebuilt kit for the steering box. I also have plans on hydro assit steering. I need it now w/ the front locked.
