Coming from Michigan and leaving Monday after dinner(so kids sleep thru the night) heading for Denver. Gonna crash in Denver Tuesday afternoon and night so kids can play in a pool at a hotel and then head to Silverton Wed morning.

I'm not sure exactly where you are in Michigan, but making it all the way to Denver sounds like one heck of a first leg. Coming from Columbus, we got as far as eastern central Kansas on day 1 and it was time to get the kids out of the car and a beer in dad's hand (about 785 miles). We did another 630 miles on day 2 which got us within striking distance of Silverton.

Yea its a hike for sure. Im running a race up north until Sunday afternoon and won't be home until Sunday late so not a lot of options. Truck will be loaded and ready in driveway before wife and I leave for the weekend up there. Will just need to do some laundry and recharge the batteries. I'm a night owl and my wife gets up around 4 or 5 am usually so driving thru the night usually works out really well for us. Couple winters ago we left after work and headed straight to Daytona with a pit stop in South Carolina for about 20 minutes to drop kids off at grandma's house so it's nothing we aren't to used to. Plus it's a ton easier on the kids. I like to just get to where we are going and power thru.

Do you need hookups or can you boondock with the trailer? There are a few NF campgrounds west of Silverton up along Mineral Creek and FR 585. They're fairly primitive with vault toilets and some have potable water. They are all first come first served, not reservable. Also, there might be a spot available at at Molas Lake still. There were a couple when I looked a few weeks ago. There are some RV parks in Silverton too.
I can boondock no problem. It looks like Molas Lake still has some availability. I think that’s what we will probably do. It will be nice to roll in to a reserved spot after coming all the way from Ga. Looks like a good enough place to stay until we can move in to HIH camp Wednesday.

After so many flicking their lights at me I finally went and adjusted my new headlights at the gym parking lot tonight after I was done in there! 😂
Getting things ready one step at a time!
Also some lift parts arriving tomorrow

It appears that I am not receiving emails. Any trick to making sure that I get them?
Hmmm, I am being told that we send the emails to sponsors also. maybe junk mail? They have really just been reminders and notification that a @benc and @kelly saad are doing a deal for attendees. Let me know if you still cannot find it. thx

Just when we think it can’t get any better. @neilsen100 was able to pull off a connection to Diamondback Bike for this year’s raffle! You guys are amazing! Thank you.

Details will be sent to all HIH9 participants, as well as another cool perk for attendees related to this!!
