That's why I want to find a cheap replacement. When you tried did you put it on stands and take the shocks off and let the axle drop so it not in the way

its the panhard rod brace that is welded to the frame that is the problem. now i have done it more than a dozen times but i can remove the entire engine with trans and tcase hanging off the back in around 3 hours. so much easier than dealing with it in frame.

You can get a complete rebuilt long block delivered to your door from Amazon for $4,200 including a $500 refundable core deposit for a net cost of $3,700.

If you dont find one local I have been sitting on a motor I pulled that was running strong at 204K that I would let go for $500 in western CO, near Moab

Or you can still get a brand new long block assy. Toyota PN: 19000-66052 for about 12,200 USD shipped to your door...from Japan.

BtW it kind of puzzles me why the Amayama.com is not mentioned more often as excellent OEM parts sources at very reasonable prices....
For example I got a complete set of parts for rebuilding the front axles including the Koyo trunnion bearings (90366-20003 for 5.30 USD a piece !!!!!!) for quite a bit less than the price for a similar aftermarket parts kit...
Or, I just got all windows runs brand new OEM Toyota (front and rear: 68141-60010, 68151-60010, 68142-60011, 68152-60011) for about 180 USD shipped to my door (part of a bigger package.....) ....and many other OEM parts waaaaayyyyy cheaper that anywhere else.....

regards

I have it on good authority that a complete rebuild could be upwards of $15k. Of course I hear that comes with a supercharger though. There is a thread here on it. Totally verbose. Can't remember who...
