Removed the ABS pump and hopefully made enough room for the charcoal canister.
I'd get a GM evap canister, mount it under the 80 and save the room on the pass fender for other goodies. TYM4FUN did an excellent writeup on this with pics in his build thread. I'll create a new thread with pics on this process shortly. I grabbed mine from a '04 Tahoe and they're a dime a dozen.

I'll save you some time, the toyota 3FE Heater Valve is no longer avaliable.

Use the Four Seasons/Murray 74851 and reuse your bracket does the job.
why would he need the 3fe heater valve?

Not as easy with this swap as it has a leak detection pump built onto the canister.

Interesting, good to know. A local feller has two rigs with this engine so let me ask him if he's using the 80 canister. I wonder if the older 100 series with the same engine has this pump?

Got the crossmember finished up. Uses the front holes from the factory crossmember and added 2 more for the front of the new one.

Been falling behind on progress and wheeling instead of working. Then had to put some time into fixing my 4runner after some trail damage. Annual Labor Day weekend trip to Vermont. It appears the mirror is correct, that rod was definitely closer than it appeared.

Then a few weeks later took out the drivers side wheeling at a friends property in New Hampshire. I’ve kept it pretty straight for 7 years of hard wheeling in New England. Going to be interesting trying to fit the larger bodied Land Cruiser in between everything.

Did manage to get the harness built. Finishing up the fuse/relay box this week then it should be ready for a test crank. Have to wait until the injectors come back from being serviced to see if it runs.

Modified the over drive button. The pin in the red box follows the track in the blue box to be on/off. I removed the pin so the switch will be a momentary switch. With the Sequoia and Tundra overdrive and low/1st gear are controlled by momentary switches. 4runner and Land Cruiser use a different shift lever setup and have a typical on/off signal for o/d and 1st.
I’m going to use the o/d button to control 1st since I will be using that more often than turning overdrive off. Another momentary switch next to the shift lever will control the overdrive signal.

Been a while since an update. Got most of the wiring squared away. Power, ground, and starter signal wire run along the body harness along the radiator support. I tested the wiring and the engine turns over with no smoke. Ready to test start when the radiator comes in this week.

Wire from the oil pressure sensor to the factory harness. Might have to change the pressure sensor to read correct with the FJ gauge but haven't looked into it yet.

There are two white wires that need to be spliced together in the factory harness. It was originally spliced at the alternator terminal.

Bent 3/8 hard line for power steering return. Goes in front of the radiator support where Im adding a power steering cooler.

I am liking that PS return idea, I assume it’s just aluminum tube. It’s one of the things I haven’t worked out yet for my swap.

I have the 3fe pressure line on order.

What did you end up doing for fuel supply side? I didn’t check when I test fit (slipped my mind) but looks like the stock fzj banjo fitting with a little tweaking will bolt right on to the 2uz stock fuel rail and pulse reducer ?

Just used coated 3/8 steel hard line from the parts store.

I was going to use the 1FZ fuel line but added a filter inline and modified the plastic 2uz hose. Not sure if Im going to run it like that or find an alternative.

I am debating on how to go about that very situation as well.

Was thinking about a aeromotive in line filter right off the hard to soft line connection. But I don’t think the threads will match up

Sub’d. I’m debating picking up a wrecked 2006 sequoia. Still trying to figure out if the transmission is problematic or not. I luv to hear that you were able to get the transmission to work in yours.

You need to use a transmission from a Land cruiser/LX470 to be able to use the FJ80 transfer case.
