The main anchor points should be the same thread size - 7/16 fine if memory serves. It's an industry standard size for seatbelts.Guys,

I’m going to go out on a limb and say that there’s no 7/16 bolts fine or corse thread on a 80 series Land CruiserThe main anchor points should be the same thread size - 7/16 fine if memory serves. It's an industry standard size for seatbelts.
And you'd be wrong. I can't find a link to prove it at the moment, but it's a DOT requirement that became an international standard.I’m going to go out on a limb and say that there’s no 7/16 bolts fine or corse thread on a 80 series Land Cruiser![]()
With out the link,I would not tell another member there wrongAnd you'd be wrong. I can't find a link to prove it at the moment, but it's a DOT requirement that became an international standard.
I wouldn't have believed it either, so I did look it up at one point.
Also, isn't that what you did? With out the link,I would not tell another member there wrong
I changed my seats out and I think I would remember if I had to use a 7/16 wrench to remove the seat belts
Also, isn't that what you did?
It may not take an SAE wrench, but the threads are SAE.
Kinda splitting hairs on that, but I get it. I won't take offense if you don't.Not really I said I would go out on a limb.
To be clear a quick google search and it appears that you are correct in that the threads are indeed SAE.
Some said that 11x1.25 MM is the same.
I’m away from my 80 for the weekend or I would go out to the shop to verify![]()
