Hi. It's me Seth. I'm that guy. You know- the guy with a different cruiser project every year and a half? I'm at it again..

Up for sale is my 4bta powered 80 series. Has successfully taken me through Rubicon twice, up and down Baja a few times, Moab, Costco, and many other exotic and adventurous spots. LEGALLY registered in California as a diesel. Best mileage? 24mpg on a mellow road trip. Averages around 18mpg with my mixed city and hwy driving. Biodiesel? You betcha. WVO/SVO? Never, not a chance.

So...here's the skinny;

1994 cruiser w/ 3rd row seats (seats 8 small humans)
~220,000mi on truck, ~40,000 on 4BTA
Factory Locking differentials front and rear
Rebuilt 4bta w/ 3200rpm spring. Motor purchased FROM CUMMINS!
700r4/split t-case (part time 4wd!) both freshly rebuilt by Georg at Valley Hybrids
Safari Snorkel
Hanna Sliders
Dual batteries
Slee 4"heavy lift with caster correction plates and extended brake lines/sway bars
Slee shortbus front bumper
35" cooper sst (5 total)
Alpine stereo with Boston Acoustics speakers. iPod cable.

The "bad"?

Front seats are ripped. I usually roll with SOR covers anyway, so I never remember.
Body has some bumps and bruises. Nothing major, but it is by no means in cherry shape. Couple of dings and scratches, but no rust. Has been a lot of places, and has the scars to prove it. But hey-chicks dig scars, so there's that.

I'm selling since I've moved on to the next project, and I'm trying to thin the herd. Also, the wifey isn't keen on continuing to lift our two older dogs, and our two year old son into a 4"lifted 35" tire shod cruiser. Something has to go, and it is this cruiser.

Asking price is $20k OBO.

So, there ya go. Happy New Year!

I don't see the mileage and more pics would be cool. I'm not in the market, but it seems like a nice rig!

second line of his list: 220K on truck, 40K on the motor and it looks like about 300 on the tranny-tcase....?

So that Adventure Copan doesn't think he's going crazy-I just updated the original posting. Truck has 220k, motor was purchased from Cummins and now has approx 40k on it. Transmission and t-case were rebuilt about 500 miles ago by Georg.

This means it was done right.

Thanks... cause I kept looking and didn't see it the first time, but I see it now. :)

Tranny shift

How is the shifting from 1st to 2nd in the 700R4? Looking to start a 4BT project now, but it may be cheaper to buy one:p

It shifts super smoooth, thanks to Georg. It's all buttah.

It's definitely cheaper to buy one "done" than have someone build it for you. TRUST ME on that one. I'm losing my ass on this truck.

It seems to be a common theme with me....

Another 4bt on the chopping block. People tend to not keep these... Id really love to drive one to find out why.

Sweet rig and GLWS

Dan

Nice Truck!!! Well done. I saw it on the Rubicon. I love my 4BT 80 and the mileage cant be beat as well as every napa has parts if needed which is peace of mind on road trips.. My kids love the "Turbo Diesel" and always want to ride in it with the windows down so they can hear the turbo spool up and down.... Good luck with the sale... Nice to be different in a cookie cutter world!

When it rains, it pours...

I'm sure there are some folks that keep their 4bt powered cruisers for the duration. There's quite a cult following for these motors. Lotsa good info and cool conversions over at 4btswaps.com

Thanks!

if you want a 4BT 80 then buy seth's. it's done! and it'll save you a ton of money vs building it yourself or worse yet having it built.

and this one has e-lockers! :grinpimp:

good luck with the sale seth.
