I tried jumping the power directly to the motor. It's definitely the switch. Glad you got yours figured out! Any idea on the part number for the Chinese switches from Alibaba?
You have a much newer vehicle than I do. Mine is a 1988 B J 74. The switch is may or may not be different. This is what mine look like.

Totally different.
I’m thinking it was Aliexpress not Alibaba where I got mine. Not sure if this is the right p/n for your application, 84820-60020 Google is your friend.

I wrote this earlier but forgot to post it

:( Why can't it be easier to get parts 🤦‍♂️
I think it’s because Toyota designed these vehicles to last forever so subsequently didn’t make any parts to repair them with.

lol true but that might be a good problem, I'd take reliability over parts scarcedy anyday. The switch with that part number is you mentioned is discontinued. There must be a 12v variant.

If that is the correct part number, do lots of googling. Aliexpress has tons of aftermarket swithes, you just have to know the correct Toyota number. Also there are a couple companies that rebuild some switches. Again , google is your friend.

I've searched alot but I have no luck finding a wiring diagram for my power window. I was hoping to bypass the switch and get the window up. Can someone please help point me in the right direction? Thanks

Jeremy

Hi Jeremy, the easiest way to just get your window up is to pull the door panel off so that you can get at the two wires that go directly to the motor. You can apply power to one terminal and ground to the other terminal and watch which way the window tries to move. If it’s moving up great keep going, but if it moves down, just reverse the wires and it should go up.
You can also make yourself a new switch using a double pole double throw switch. It won’t fit in your control panel properly, but at least you can roll your window up and down.

Just found this on eBay.

Is it not the right switch?

I came across this. Might be worth a shot.

It’s not available. It’s discontinued. We’ve already ascertained this.
Well at $86 I can guarantee it’s not a genuine Toyota part. It’s probably a Chinese knock off so it actually may exist if you took the time to check it out.
