First up HELLO!, Dave here from australia love the page and forum!

Im just about to embark on the fun task of fitting a 1jzgte into my 93 lux after many hours of research i think im finally ready to get it done,

Details of the engine:
1jzgte from a mk3 factory r154 supra, big single turbo converted

Details of the hilux:
93 dual cab wellbody still atm trayback in the near future, had the buick v6 and turbo 700 auto in it when i bought but thats junk and has been removed and sold yay (photos soon)

I pick up the gearbox in a few days and ive found a way around the input shaft issue, ive found a r150f box from a 5vz-fe (long input shaft) that has drivers side drop *passengers drop if your state side

So theoretically the motor and box should bolt together no issues using the r154 bellhousing i have already yay for no ax15 jeep crap!

So ive made a list of everything required, and will also take a crap load of photos as i go for everyone to enjoy and give me some feedback!

Ive completed a similar conversion in the past using a 1ggte into a 87 sr5 extracab 4x4 so although this is harder hoping for similar results

Stay tuned for uodates!
Cheers
Dave

That sounds like an awesome swap. There are some nice 2jz swapped 2wd out there too.

This one happens to be my favorite ---> WWW.SUPRATRUCKS.COM

Ok well, it begins the engine bay is stripped out and ready for the motor and box to go in for first fit up and fabricate mounts then it will all come out engine bay respray and tidy up before final refit, also found an interesting gearbox for people struggling with the input shaft problem!

Can anybody tell me how to upload pics?

You can't ... at least not yet. You need a post count of 10 before you can attach pics.

That said, there is a way. Upload them to a hosting site like Flickr, then use the image tag to link to the pic.

You don't need to use another site. If you look on the mobile site there a place right below that you can click to upload directly to 'Mud. If on the browser I believe you have to go to more options and click upload file. Woody also removed the requirement for needing a certain amount of posts before you can post pictures.

So today i made the engine mounts and its ready to go back in after i move some bits and peices around, using the 2001 gearbox crossmember and gearbox mount, it does have to move back about 25mm

Ive included a photo of the measurements for the mounting plates for the engine mounts, add 2 gussets the shape in the second photo per mount the hole size is 13mm, this has enabled me to use the factory jza70 supra engine mount and rubbers, enjoy! More updates soon
