Wow ! Super Cool ! Does anyone have any idea what company would perform a conversion like this? I imagine it would be quite expensive to perform, which makes the price on this particular vehicle (post conversion) appear very attractive. HMMMM ....

Don't believe everything you read. This truck is from Outback Imports and is selling for over $40,000. I saw it in Calgary about two months ago and it is beautiful. Just too much for me for a summer camping rig. I seriously do not think it is in the states but if you send $12400 to this guy in Nigeria I bet you will receive it right away...

Cheers

Same thing happened when I posted my restored Challenger on Egay...some numb-nut stole my pics and apperantly I've dropped my price from $28k all the way down to $5,800 bucks! Such a deal!!:flipoff2:

When I read the post I knew it was an outback right away, funny they used the same pictures too... gotta love craigslist!

Cheers

I just replied to his CL ad...here was my response:

Hi There...saw your ad for this Cruiser/camper conversion and it's exactly what I've been looking for. is it sold yet?? VERY interested...please email me your number to discuss pick-up and payment right away. I'm in Fairfield, so very close to SF and can meet you right away...I have cash...dont care about title issues as I have a clean 80 series diesel frame title...no loans or BS. I want this!!!

Thx

Lets see if I get a response...doubtfull :) Friggin scammer turds!!

I sent a similar email to the CL ad 2 days ago, and got no response .... Scammers indeed ! Its a shame, I would have GRABBED that TRUCK and RAN at that price !

I thought about doing a "RE:92 Adventure --Toyota LandCruiser 4.2L TURBO DIESEL" reply on CL and pointing out that this vehicle is actually for sale by Outback Imports which is a LEGIT company with a link to their ad...

yep, that'll make em pull the add. these scammers are clever too and prolly not going to respond to everything they get, they must sift and screen through the responses to find more naive one's they can pull a fast one on?

or that dude already saw this post and knows someone's on to him!

hope nobody gets ripped off!

Yeah, I sent an email also to the craigxlisst seller in the one in a million chance that this was legit, told them that I lived locally and wanted to drive by and take a look at it. No response.

On a similar ad for a Honda priced about 1/3 of what it should have been selling for they told me the vehicle was stored and that they were deployed to a US military base in Spain--- so I asked them for their phone number, never got it. They kept asking for my name, address, and phone number and that I write them directly bypassing the craigxlisst email system. I then told them I wanted to pay with some gold coins I'd recently inherited; no response after that.

Here's the response I got, he's really clever using the name "Clark Lewis" (how American and trustworthy). Also he put a website into his signature like it's his business, and a little disclaimer at the bottom saying this email is private, etc.

Of course,my RV is ready to be sold,I live in Saint Peters Mo,if you are interested please email me I will gladly answer your questions.Pictures attached: and much more if you're really interested
Thanks!

Guys....I actualy got a response from this steaming turd pile....seems I've convinced him I'm a real live one;). Just thinking of ways to fawk with this retard and waste a bunch of his time. Any creative suggestions??:grinpimp:

It is in Saint Peters, and it has a Missouri title. It runs like a charm. It has 78,556 original miles.

I know it's been advertised in few areas but the car is in Saint Peters, MO, 30 miles west of Saint Louis.

The reason of sale is that we are trying to save our vintage furniture restoring and manufacturing business from foreclosure by
liquidating some assets and we need the money fast,we also have a boat for sale and some wood crafting machinery.

We had 2 buyers : one didn't show up and the other called saying he lost the money, so my wife convinced me to try sell it on-line. If I don't sell it on-line in about 8 days you can come pick it up yourself. So if you want to buy it and have the funds available, I could ship it to you or you could pick it up yourself and deal trough Google Checkout (the one she signed us up for).

In order to get this started I would need your full SHIPPING ADDRESS,PHONE NUMBER AND NAME.You will buy under these therms :

- You deposit 50% of the price at Google Checkout and they will transfer the funds to me ONLY after you receive or pick-up and inspect the car ;

- You are given a 5 days as inspection period to decide if want to keep it.

It's $35 for 30-day tags from the DMV if you pick it up OR $115/300 miles for shipping and handling if you want it shipped.

If you have any questions or suggestions about the process call me at :636-352-4968 or email me at office@vintagerestore.net .
