Good afternoon all

So its time fix the much needed iowa frame rot and put some 63's out back. Goal is to use 33 or 34 tires. So much fun being on smaller tires because you can't just get up and over every thing you have really try to find the right line and its so much cheaper.
Here is a list of what I need to get done before I can pyll it out of the shop again. This will be slow because I only get about a hour a night and not too much on the weekend, owning home has a HONEY DO list a mile long so please bare with me.

* remove old flat bed
*cut off bad section of frame and replace with 2x4 3/16 wall. Cutting it under cab. ( anyone have a pic of how they tied in old with new)
*add 63 inch springs
*find differnt gas tank. Mine leaks like mad.
*get busy with tubing for flat bed.
*complete before oldest is out of marine boot camp in oct 2015.
Good luck. Right.

Here is what I am starting with

Thanks again. And feel free to toss in ideas.
Cheers

No updates besides getting it up on jack stands and taking off the tires

Cheers

I'm getting ready to do 63s on my 84. Curious to see your spring install. Good luck

Cut wood last weekend so still on stands. Gonna be slow. Sorry

So I started.... but I also aquired a 91 4runner, 63 springs, and a double tcase. The qyestion is use the 4runner frame and put the 83 cab kn it and hsve a 3.0 fuel injection or just run the 83 with dual cases. ... decisions.

So you gonna keep both or just one? I would keep the 83, rob all good parts from that runner and send it packing. Just my .02 though

I sm leaning toward fixing 83 and robbing all good parts from 91 and tgrn send it to scrap. Body is rusted bad.

Is there a list of upgrades by year, I found it once but can't remember where.

BTDT. Do not even try to fix that. You will go insane patching the patches, it will eventually look like a quilt.

ps: thank you for your service. Daughter goes active Navy in 2 weeks.

KLF.
Thanks for your sacrifice too sir... son joined USMC 5 months back too.

And not patching holes. 2x4 steel is replacing old frame rails, tieing in under cab where there good steel.

Cheers

Dropped the gas tank tonight. Hopefully soon I will cut the frame. Need a few more measurements then dobe.
Also got the Rock tactics 63 spring kit. Amazing work. Get pics up soon I will

Frame rails made, need to remive the cab because of where I am tying in to old frame is under cab.
Timr to research on cab removal. Cheers.
