Here's a pic of my new cover from AWL_TEQ. Beautifully made and fit perfect! Thanks a lot. Makes the winch look really nice.

Now for the noob question. When I flip the switch to the left, ( see pic below) the cable goes out and vise a versa. This makes no sense to me. Before I switch the wires around, Is this thing hooked up correctly as is????

It looks like the same as my 3pin controller and yes just swich 2 of the wires around although I can't say which ones go where!!!!!!

So you guys agree that the symbol on the left means that the cable would be winding up? Not trying to be daft but I checked the wires on the plug and they're black to black, green to green and white to white. from what I've seen on other rebuild posts they look correct. Just making sure.

Loosen up the switch in the handle and turn it 180 degrees or you can switch the two wires going to the small studs on the solenoids.

Mine was shipped like that. I got use to it but had a problem when somebody else was helping winch a stuck rig.

Fix it.

Great Idea! Didn't even notice the switch on the controller could be spun. I'm going out to fix it right now.

hoped it worked, wish I would have thought of it when I wired mine backwards, but its real easy to switch the leads on the solenoid packs.

My controller has a slotted barrel on the switch so spinning it was a no go. I switched the leads in the male end of the plug instead ( black and green). My winch works correct now. My only concern is that if for some reason I go to use my controller on someone else's winch that it be the same.
