Ok, we see see how you roll ;)

Real glad you are ok, that could've been bad. At least you have a place to store it.

Glad you are ok! That fj40 bodyis calling your name if the chassis is still good.

I second that, man that would be the ultimate, FJ80 frame & linked suspension, FJ40 body, and a 6BT/ NV4500 conversion... that's pure porn right there fella's.

Since so many came that way.

Please take no offense, as none is intended, but that's equivocal to a ginger with a blonde undercarriage...

No offense taken but I'd still plow the hell out of it even if she didnt have the fire down below... just say'n

What would you do for power plant and trans then?

Hmmm.

A very valid point.....

What would you do for power plant and trans then?

In a 4 door, aluminum tub, 48?

1FZ-FE/A343F/HF2A

She'd be a screamer in that lightweight body and all components will have continued factory support for many years to come.

Plus, in my case, those components, along with the axles, brakes, and every other major system on mine are new, or newly rebuilt.

Can't stomach the $30k price tag for just the body parts alone, to build it, though.

either way, as long as he can still use "braille"

I don't see the part-out thread...

Ya the troopy, and 1FZ-FE would work... 30k is steep though...

it would most def be from self gratification in my case.

Naturally blind, or resulting unintended consequences of self gratification?
if ya go blind from self gratuity, I'd have to say you were putting your fingers in the wrong spot

...were you texting?

No.

Just a perfect combination of forces at perfect times.

either way, as long as he can still use "braille"

Is that how the blind covet another man's wife?

I don't see the part-out thread...

Hmmm. There are portions that will be liquidated.

Sig worthy.

Actually, experiment worthy.

I'll formulate a hypothesis and begin experiments shortly, as part of long, ongoing research.

The dawn of a new day, ladies and gents, and the show must go on.

While I'm continuing to grieve for the (temporary) death of my beloved PP80, odds are, she'll be reborn under the body of a vintage Cruiser, as part of a preliminary plan for which I'd recently acquired someone else's rolled 80, along the lines of LX455.

I'd like to thank Onur, Dan, and Robbie for their continued commitment to this endeavor, the time invested through the many years, and immense support.

Thank you.

To the rest of the crew, thank you for your condolences and emotional support, as well the preceding three years of similar.

To first time readers, new owners, or the more seasoned, I pray my experiences from conception to (temporary) death may serve you well.

If there's one lesson learned that I hope is conveyed throughout this thread and my participation in the 80 forum, it's to take the resulting instability of the lifted 80 more seriously, as there are perfect storms which can beguile even a conservative, yet unknowingly arrogant captain, into a belief that the unpredictable is navigable.

I will preach on the pulpit about instability and unpredictability, until my iPhones dying breath.

I was lucky.

A very narrow margin separated my experience from involving more than myself and that grief I could not live with. While very unfortunate that my beloved PP80 endured the brunt, allowing me to walk away, this could very easily have been an event that impacted more than myself.

Yes, a huge investment in both time, money, and affection, as she's the first vehicle I've ever truly loved. She was missed this morning in the driveway and she'll continue to be dearly missed every pre-dawn departure from this point forward.

All is not lost.

Not a FS thread, but pre notification.

The running, rolled LX450 previously purchased is now for sale.

FJC is being prepped for similar.

Some tidbits of my recently rolled PP80 will be for sale.

OE and used Pig parts deemed unnecessary will be sold.

Still have an LTZ510 Stroked, uber built quad for sale.

Need to raise capital dollars and trim any unnecessary fat for the coming endeavors.

Damn - Sorry to hear... Glad you walked away.. Looking forward to watching your next build !

I applaud your attitude and frame of mind, most woulda tucked their tails and went hermit for a few weeks, at least, myself included.

Nice recovery! I wanna be with you when the zombie thing happens, if not for your survival skills, at the very least your positive atitude during things that challenge it.
