Does anyone know what the stock ride height of a 80 series is? I have almost 300,000 miles on mine, so I'm pretty sure the springs are sagging. Just want to know because I plan on lifting my 80 to fit 35'' tires.

There's a thread about lifts, springs, and shocks just a little further down the board. There's some really great info in there about ride quality, tires, etc.

I don't know the stock height, but @beno probably has shocks and springs in stock.

How much space do you have from your bumpstops. It should be close to 2 to 3 inches.

Stock height really stops being significant if you're going to put 35's on. You're either putting on a lift kit, or cutting off a BUNCH of fender. If lifting, the question is which lift (not how much it lifted your truck). In the FAQ sticky at the front of this forum, there are links to the Slee site. I think Slee said you either need their 4" lift kit or to lower your bumpstops. For the people (like me) who keep trying to reinvent the wheel (or do it better than the guys who've done this LOTS of times), you can choose a lower lift.
In fairness, you MIGHT be better off following the expert advice linked in the FAQ, than what I'm typing here. Slee - Lift Size vs Tire Size - Slee (Toyota 80 Series Land Cruiser)

Just a Recap, I'm going to put 33x12.5R15's goodyear duratracs on with 1.5'' spacers to clear the rear brakes onto my 93 cruiser. Not sure if I'm still going to install the OME863J springs I have or go with a 2.5'' lift spring instead of 3.5''. I'll be building a front & rear bush bumpers with a spare hanger on the back. Also most likely going to do an exo-cage/rock sliders. I also tow a 3-5000 lb travel trailer behind my cruiser.

If your going to tow a trailer than your not going to like the 15" wheels. A D or E rating is better in 16" or 17" size. I've been where you are going. Plus if you plan on tucking those rear tires in the fenders it going to be real close fit on the outside flare.

I have a set of LT265/75R16 on the stock rims with E rated 10 ply hwy tires for towing the trailer long distances on the hwy. Already ordered the 33x12.5R15 tires for $950 cnd.

How do you like the ride and handling of those 265 E rated tires. My wifes 80 has the the P rated tires on it still in a winter type tire. They seem spongy, I'd like to put some heavier AT tires on it, but don't want to sacrifice ride or mileage with heavier tires, any comments.
