A great alternative to heavy duty sliders for the guy looking for good protection with a stealth look at a low cost. We have been trail testing and refining our Rock Rails for the last 2 years.

COST - $350 shipped in the 48 states
PayPal - MNIMARKETPLACE@gmail.com

Advantages over the normal heavy duty slider –

Light weight ~25lbs a set
High clearance 2”+ more clearance then heavy duty models
Nothing to get hung up on
Stealth look
No more dirt/mud on your pant leg or her dress getting in or out
Wife approved!
Price point about 1/3 of heavy duty sliders

Disadvantages over the normal heavy duty slider –

No steps
No pivoting off rocks
No cat protection
Not designed to come crashing down on rocks but strong enough to support the vehicles weight.

Do keep in mind that while these offer great protection in a lighter weight and high clearance friendly design, these are NOT a replacement for $1000+ sliders and do not offer the same protection of heavy duty sliders sold by Slee, Metal Tech and others.

Bottom line if you hit the Rock Rail once installed they just paid for themselves in savings on body damage.

In the first video the ledge on the left side is ~22” Listen 11 sec into the video for the sound when the rail makes contact. Resulting in no damage to the vehicle.

In the second video chances are using the same line the same truck with heavy duty sliders the would not of made it. Again no damage to the vehicle.

Pictured is the prototype (now 30% thicker) after it had been crushed by a rock on the unsupported area of the Rail. Amazing the vehicle received no damage.

They mount to the pinch weld in 5 location. They are primed 100%, prior to welding, then welded, and spot primed where welded. Mounting studs are tapped into the steel then Rosette welded. All metric 10.9 grade hardware with serrated flange JIS nuts. Steel construction tubing is .090 thick. End are plugged using plastic plugs.

Did I mention they are wife approved

Rails come primed and do need to be painted. Krylon Satin is a perfect match for black powder coat. We recommend spray over powder for easy touch up.

Tools required for installation-
Drill
Drill bits
Masking tape
Pencil
12MM wrench

Estimated installation time for the average guy 1 hour

Cool product. I think there are a lot of people who will benefit from these. The HD sliders are overkill for a lot of people on here and their price is hard to swallow. These will be great for the overlanding crowd and the light wheelers. It makes me happy to see someone bring an affordable product for the 80 series to market.

Went wheelin' this weekend to see what I need to buy first: sliders, locker or winch. Needless to say it's sliders! I'm wanting to get these but I have 2 questions. What can I do w/my cats to get them tucked up? In your videos, my cats would've been smashed. Also, do they stick out enough for my wife/daughter to get a foot on to use as a 'step'? Thanks!

They dont stick out at all. Sorry no provisions for steps

Great idea, and good execution as well. I will be adding these to my "want list"

It seems the thinner steel would be better if its only connected to the rocker panel? Sure the 30% thicker tube won't crunch like the rail in the photo above, but that means the energy will be sent straight into the rocker panel itself.

Even with the increase in tubing thickness we are thinner then any other product protecting the underside. Its all about balance and after two years of testing we have come to a happy medium. We are comfortable with the level of protection we set out to accomplish.

Exactly why I purchased and already installed a pair. I'm not knocking or contesting the efficacy and/or engineering behind the larger traditional sliders (or the companies manufacturing and selling), the Rock Rails simply met my needs perfectly and your observation articulates this niche very well.

BTW, no affiliation other than I'm a newer member of the Copper State Cruisers club here in AZ and expressed an interest in this product a while back (and was subsequently pinged for an early purchase opportunity given my proximity for a local pick-up). I honesty and simply just like the product....(and paid full price to eliminate any concerns over bias :flipoff2:).

Once I get my new cat & muffler installed I'll be ordering these. Couple questions:
What's the point of the lengthwise metal strip?
HREW or DOM?
1.5" diameter?
.120" wall?
Thanks for seeing these thru to completion!

Not sure what you are referring to?
HREW or DOM?
1.5" diameter?
.120" wall?
1.5" .090"(13ga) tubing
Thanks for seeing these thru to completion!

Thanks!

Is it a secret? I don't get it.

Oh man I'm sorry!!!! It wasn't showing on my phone but I see it now that I'm on my laptop. I feel like a douche now. There appears to be a metal strip that runs from the first mounting tab, all the way along the tube, to the last mounting tab. Is that reinforcement to strengthen the tabs or am I just seeing a shadow or something? Thanks & sorry again!
