Cool. I would, but my wife would think I'm nuts if I left the house after 10 for 80 parts. I will message you sometime this week if you are gonna be around for new years.
Based on the pictures, I went with the scout so I would have room for a full size handgun. But now that I think about it, I bet a fieldstriped full sized piece would fit just fine in the regular lockbox. It only takes a couple extra seconds to render the firearm usable and it's not like you stick it under lock and key to have a quick draw option. You stick it in there to secure it and the shallower box creates a little more smoke and mirrors by making the scum jacktard bastard breaking into your vehicle not question the depth of the center console.

@wearsabrowncoat this was always my vision from the beginning. The Scout loses that option because it sits up so high.

Confirms my suspicions about the LX box being too tall to blend in unnoticed
It's true. For the LX it sucks because the space is already too small. Then add in ANY correctly fitted LockBox, regardless of height, and the available space is ridiculous. Anything put in there would cause a pause so it's why I gave up and just went to the height I did to at least maximize the space. If it goes too low then it becomes useless for anything other than a phone and wallet.
I was looking for something to secure my 
in the vehicle for times when I have to leave it behind. I don't like the idea of having to give up all of the limited internal console space for that purpose as I like to keep a pair of gloves, sunglasses, microfiber hand towel, and my gps unit inside the lower console compartment.
I had assumed that a 2.5" height box wouldn't be very noticeable with a false bottom/liner over it, and the items I keep in there on top of that. It appears I was wrong, so I'll have re-think my options.

@MoustacheMike yeah I did a mockup of the 2.5" and it was just too small. Worse yet the interior dimensions made it even worse. The LX isn't as deep as the LC so 5" doesn't look out of place...to much. In the LX the 2.5" just looks like a lot of wasted space. Trust me, it's what I was originally going to do because I have an LX and it's what I would have wanted. Until I saw it.
I trust you on this, you're in a much better position to judge the merits of a 2.5" tall compartment than I.... I'm just theorizing/visualizing it all in my head.
