Yeah, important skills to have. Thought I was going to have to go in after this one when it wrapped around a sunken limb in my fish pond.

I leave a knife in each of my trucks, but I sure wouldn't leave a benchmade there. Those stay in the pocket and I typically like small ones that don't make you look like a knife freak.
But in the center console of my trucks I keep a Morakniv Companion. Pic to follow. The reason is, they are excellent and cost about $15. You can use it for food prep, lend to a near stranger, scrape off a sticker, pry something open, or do any other sort of camp chore that requires a knife. And if they get lost, or don't make it home, you haven't lost a "nice" knife. Companions come in obnoxious colors too.
