Glad I checked back in to find you upgraded everything to CREE's, might have a couple buddies interested as well.

I have to stop reading this thread. I went from wanting a pair of 2x2's to the 7.5" bar. Then I convinced myself that the 13.5" bar is what I want. But for only 50 bucks more I can have the 21" bar!

This x2 ! Soon, I'll be at the pawn shop because I "needed" lights for the rack I don't have.

x3 I keep thinking the same thing. I really don't have anywhere to mount my stuff though. No bumpers and def no roof rack...

I'm in the same boat as far as not having/wanting a roof rack and talked to Nick about some type of roofline mounting system possibly using the rain gutters.

Or maybe something like this:

That's bad a$$! Need more info on that mounting system.

I found those pics on the web.

Maybe LabRak can chime in with thoughts on fabbing up something similar for 80 owners.

I talked with Shane about it, he said it would be difficult, due to the angle. I think a low profile gutter mount, a arm extending towards the windshield with a support midway would work great. Shane is more knowledgable with mounting solutions.

DanKunz's GX470 with the 10W pods as reverse lights:

I also just remembered I did post a photo of the 21.5" output. This is spot beam. Halogen low beams + 21.5" light bar.

Mounted on DanKunz's GX470

Thank you !!!

Does anyone have any pictures of a light bar mounted on the back of an 80 or LX where the rear spoiler is?

Thinking about going this route vs the pods on the corners with the deal on the bars. Pros or Cons with this setup?

I'd be willing to let you experiment on my 80 when you move out to CO. Give me a true template and comprehensive instructions, and I'll even drill into my pillars if could get a low profile mount even with my roofline. Then build an absurdly bright 50" bar running 40" of spot down the middle and 5" flood on either side and I'll buy the first one.

This is a good idea, Nick. Do it. :)

The pics below where you have the street lit about half way up, then the a pic with it lit up to the tree tops.....What light combo exactly is being used here? Also what are the specs of the lights? ( flood, spot, roof, bumper, size, lows, highs, pods...et cetera)

Another quick question;

How do LED's do in foggy conditions?

I am currently leaning toward a 21" for the ARB on the 80, possibly a pair of singles for back up lights on either my pickup or the 80. On my pickup (DD) I am not sure if I should do a bar or a pair of 2x2's. I need to measure the Trail Gear Winch plate that it is based off of. I am pondering mounting it below the plate but I would have to devise a skid plate for it in order to protect it.

Either way I will definitely be pm'ing you for something before the 13th.

And thanks again for getting this together for all us LED illiterate folks.

I've already, at a minimum, decided going to go with 1 maybe 2 pair of the single 10w pods for the rear and another project. For the front I'm contemplating a 40in spot for the roof rack to help "flood" everything with instant light, already have a pair of 240 Blitz I'm converting to 100w hids for my "spots."

What is recommended to support the center of the of the 40in on the rack?

Also, in the future are there any plans for a single row 10w in various sizes?

I sent you an order through email.
